set strategies and objectives directing performance of service departments (finance, government relations, HR and IT)
- Manage the financial resources of the company and conduct resource planning for future needs covering working capital targets.
- Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the regional management.
- Monitors the preparation of the financial budget and sends the report to the other departments’ heads of the company and the regional management.
- Supervise business performance through monthly analysis and takes steps to improve the performance by cooperation with the management team.
- Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems.
- Designs the company's new financial policies, rules and regulations, and makes sure that every department adheres to them.
- Responsible for account monitoring and control of all the departments of the company.
- Prepare and supervise the financial reports in discussion with all the other departments in the company, and then presents it to the general manager and the management team.
- Development of the Finance and accounting team both commercial and plant controlling.
- Current business size exceeds 120M US$ with a finance team of 14 employee.
- Manage Plant accounting activities including cost accounting, period closure, plant expense and capital spending control.
- Manage Budgeting process for the plant including presentation of the plant final Budget to Top management to acquire Buy in position.
- Control plant compliance with internal policies.
- Manage inventory controlling for all plant warehouses
- Manage financial reporting periodically including (Actual plant P&L, Cost variance analysis,
- productivity results, Capital spending, ...etc)
- Manage biddings for co-manufacturing and large scale customers including pricing studies, profitability analysis.
- Manage calculation for all cost related studies including (New product costing, saving and productivity projects...)
- Manage controlling team development
- Manage feasibility studies calculation for any plant investment
- Manage Plant cost accounting activities including cost standard setting, period closing, plant expense and capital spending control
- Manage Budgeting process for the plant including presentation of the plant final Budget to Top management to acquire Buy in position.
-Control plant compliance with internal policies.
-Manage inventory controlling for all plant warehouses
-Manage financial reporting periodically including (Actual plant P&L, Cost variance analysis, productivity results, Capital spending)
-Manage calculation for all cost related studies including (New product costing, saving and productivity projects, ...)
-implement, manage the budgeting process including Budget and budget updates presentation to the top managment
-cost planning for the plant including (Material and conversion cost)
-owner of the monthly closing cost analysis actuals versus planned budget.
-manage productivity projects analysis and monitoring of its results.
-provide financial studies for new products to the business unit
-control capital spending and manage capital projects feasability studies.
-reporting of financial performance of the plant.
Business development department is responsible for management of any new investment projects inside the plant including new production lines or equipment.
my role can be summarized as follows:
-estimating& planning budget, manpower, equipment and time needed for producing of any new change in products, including adding new products.
-supervise, report and follow-up on every stage of the new project time line.
-manage the communication between the plant and any other business units inside and outside Egypt regarding producing of any new product by the plant to these destinations.
-estimate the initial product cost, expected losses, available capacity.
-support Business unit management by clearing each product situation to get the most accurate decision about launching it or not.
My KPIs are measured by the following:
-product cost estimation accuracy (as I share costing department by assumption of labors, capex, available capacity for producing the new product)
-project budget versus actual
-meeting launch time
-plant utilization
-Manage and execute capital investment projects up to two Million US$.
-control capital spending on capex projects
-manage and execute projects including purchasing of new production line including but not limited to the following:
-purchasing and install of filled cakes rolling equipment
-purchasing and install chocolate production and decoration line
-managing dismantling transfer and reinstalling of a cakes production line including 24 m oven, mixers, packaging line of five warping machines
-Manage and execute projects related to plant infra structure including but not limited to the following:
-design, purchase and install of racking system for 2, 000 sqm finished goods warehouse.
-purchase and install of HVAC system for chocolate coated product packaging areas.
-refurbishing and re-layout of a production hall of 2, 500 sqm.
-refurbishing of Research and development labs and seating areas including equipment and furniture.
-ensure sanitary design implementation and applied to all existing and new equipment and buildings.
-support company as one of the auditors team for applying ISO9001 & ISO14001
