Communicate to Site Manager and Superintendent for the HSE progress of the project HSE program and makes recommendations for site-related improvements.
Supervise all maintenance of fire detection and prevention system and equipment.
Preparing and keeping safety records and preparing accident/incident investigation.
Supervising and training the workers to perform their job in safe manner to minimize risk and avoiding accidents and Coordinate contractor HSE activities.
Participate in any investigation relating to HSE issues.
Report all hazards, unsafe activities to the HSE Manager& project manager.
Safety inspections of equipment and site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures
JSA for the work activities within the company.
Maintains and control daily Safety practices with regular checks of work sites, ensures that hazards are identified; precautionary measures are taken and provide Safety advice to trades
Sharing in updating of emergency plane of the company.
Ensure that the proper record for inspection/maintenance and testing of all safety, fire and lifesaving equipment/systems are maintained and readily available.
Participate in training lectures and programs for the employees to minimize loss prevention and accident/incident in the company.
Patrols sites to monitor proper safety performance.
Monitor Project HSE Polices and Procedure, paying particular attention to potentially hazards operations and emphasizing proactive solution.
Responsibilities:
Enforce company site safety rules and regulations inside the worksite.
Ensure regular toolbox talks at site as per company policy.
Coordinate with Supervisors and Foreman regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and notify them regarding violation of safe work procedures.
Ensure that safe work procedure pertaining to the work activities are continuously observed & complied.
Ensure that signage and barricading are provided & maintained in the project site.
Ensuring site operatives are aware of risks and hazards.
Provide advice and counsel to all employees regarding proper implementation and compliance of safe work procedure of the project.
Promote and disseminate health, safety and environmental issues and awareness through regular toolbox talks and posting of H.S.E alert posters.
Supervise the preparation of various safety signs and installation of safety barricades as required inside the worksite.
Conducting safety inspection of portable power tools and hand tools on monthly basis.
Record and report all accidents and incidents in the site.
Investigate accidents by spot inspection and interrogation of parties and /or witnesses involved to determine the root causes and prevent recurrence of it.
Enforcement of excellent housekeeping in the project site to eliminate slip & Trip Hazards.
Inspect all ladders & Scaffolds and see to it that all safety tags are installed before use.
Application of Lock-Out & Tag-Out for the electrical works.
Ensure safe access and emergency exit on the worksite.
Participates in HSE meetings and company HSE promotional programs.
Identify any hazards/unsafe conditions and ensure work does not proceed until situation is made safe.
Ensures site activities are performed in a manner that will not cause any sickness or injury to personnel and that will not damage the environment.
Participates / initiates HSE Audits, Inspections and Safety Reviews.
Monitoring all safety issues on site, to prevent and stop dangerous work practices.
Ensuring all near misses is reported and preventive measures are taken.
Supporting, management in preparing project safety plans, carrying out formal training in safety, toolbox talks etc.
Continuous monitoring of Critical Lifting, Deep Excavation, Heavy Structural Erection, Scaffolding Erection, Crane Operations up to 400Ton, Heavy Vehicle movement, Painting Activities, Piping erection, Concreting activities.
Ensuring the effective implementation of HSE Management procedures.
Warning of dangerous occurrences and practices.
Conducting regular site inspections.
Supporting management in solving all problems related to Health, Safety and Environment.
Helping in identifying and eliminating unsafe conditions and maintain complete work field safety, maintain proper housekeeping.
Ensure that the production activities on site are carried out in a safe manner and in adherence to the Company Safety policy.
Monitor improvements through the preparation and implementation of HSE Audits and Inspections.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, facilities, work areas, tools and equipment’s of the company and observing work methods and procedures of employees to determine unsafe working conditions.
Safety supervision on all construction activities such as construction of High rise buildings, substation buildings, excavation, concrete pouring, fabrication of steel bars and formworks, crane lifting operation, welding and grinding jobs.
Ensure that employees are wearing personal protective equipment’s as per directives.
Ensure that ample amount of cold/hot and clean water are supplied in the worksite.
Ensure that all employees working at heights are using fall arrest systems.
Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings with the HSE/Line management for continual improvement of the site.
Inspect all work area on a regular basis.
Participate in any investigation relating to HSE issues.
Report all hazards to the Site Manager and Superintendent.
Assist employees with HSE and or Environmental issues.
JSA for the work activities within the company.
Ensure that plant and machinery, where necessary, is serviceable, correctly guarded and equipped in accordance with legal and other requirements
Ensure that repairs and maintenance work is carried out in a manner that is safe, without risk to the health and safety of persons and that won’t impact negatively on the environment
Maintain the project HSE Recordkeeping system.
