Roles and Responsibilities:
• Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance in line with organizational goals.
• Procurement: Lead procurement activities to ensure the timely sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies required for production. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to develop production schedules that meet demand forecasts while minimizing downtime and maximizing resource utilization. Ensure smooth flow of materials and resources to support uninterrupted production.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs. Implement inventory control measures and periodic stock audits to prevent stockouts and reduce waste.
• Logistics and Distribution: Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of finished products to customers. Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining product quality and integrity.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to enforce quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the supply chain. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and service providers. Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and address any issues or concerns to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the supply chain. Analyze cost drivers, monitor expenses, and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards and service levels.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions in supply, transportation delays, and market fluctuations. Develop contingency plans and resilience strategies to minimize the impact of unforeseen events on operations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, sales, finance, and quality assurance teams, to align supply chain activities with business objectives and customer requirements. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
