The Contract relates to the design, management, engineering, installation and construction of civil works, marine works and building construction works to create the new shipyard extension comprises of offices, workshops, warehouses, shade-structures, power plant, fresh water treatment plant, 2 nos. floating dry docks, dolphins including its working tools and equipment’s and all necessary civil and MEP works.

1.2.) Headquarters for Ministry Of Interior Project, Jeddah-Governorate.

Client/Consultant : Ministry Of Interior (KSA)/ Archen Engineering Consultants.
Contract : Bespoken/Re Measured.
Method of Measurement : POMI, 1979.

The Contract relates to the HSE works, cleaning works, crane dismantling, House Keeping works and landscape works in WADI area in KAFD on cost plus basis,

Responsibilities as a “Sr. QS Engineer”

• Prepare and review the Monthly Interim Payment Invoice prior to submittal to the Client in the timely manner as per the contract provisions.
• Routine Site visits to assess the progress of work & Coordinating with Construction & QA/QC team in acquiring the approved inspection request which will be used a basis and back-up documents in the preparation of the Monthly Interim Payments and preparing revised BOQ.
• Coordinating with engineering team in identifying any changes or revisions to newly issued drawings and checking the financial impact due to the revisions and preparing variation orders (change request) or cost proposals for the new introduced items if any prior to submittal to the client.
• Preparing logs for Interim Payment/Variation orders (Change request) submitted to Client and Sub-Contractors payments and updating in the timely manner throughout the project.
• Quantifying the procurement material quantities required for the project.
• Prepare and review value engineering.
• Resolving disputes in relation to clients / Sub-Contractor issues.
• Prepare and review RFQ`s for the sub-contractor works.
• Preparing and review sub-contractors Work orders & B.O.Q.
• Verifying the sub-contractor monthly progress at site and preparing IPC`s for the submitted invoices.

• Advising to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Monitoring all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material & sub-contractor cost thus ensuring budgets adhered to the project.
• Preparing Bar bending Schedule.

Responsibilities as a “Quantity Surveyor”

• Prepared Tender Quotations through detail study of Drawings, Specification and B.O.Q.
• Routine site visit to assess progress of work and report to immediate supervisor.
• Monitor daily progress of works and preparing daily progress report (DPR).
• Prepare and Review Sub contractor’s BOQ and Monthly Payment Invoice.
• Prepare and review the Monthly Interim Payment Invoice prior to submittal to the Client.
