Scope: Held responsible for building and integrating supply chain warehouse department across all operating sites with 26 million KD of inventory (Raw Materials - Spare Parts - Finished Goods - Admin), reporting to Chief Operations Officer.
• Defined unified policies and procedures which controlled Supply Chain Warehouse and Logistics operations across 11 sites.
• Standardized SOPs and implemented waste management which secured 850, 000 KD within 1st year.
• Designed a fully integrated material coding system that served entire group’s inventory.
• Implemented material delivery road map aiming at optimizing WIP stock balances and reducing operations running costs.
• Put in place delivery management that ensured goods perfect order fulfillment.
Egybelg Café and Bakery is a new establishment in the FMCG industry focusing on both export & local markets.
Accountable for end to end Supply Chain Operations (Supplier Sourcing & Development - Pricing - Production and Material Planning - Warehouse - Logistics), reporting to Operations Director.
• Saved 350, 000 EGP in 6 months by waste reduction.
• Set procedures for (Planning - Procurement) functions.
• Chosen as an executive member of the team assigned to study the roll out of new products.
Electrolux is the world's second-largest multinational household and professional appliances manufacturer, by revenues.
Manage the complete supply chain operations with full responsibility of (Production and Material Planning- Warehouse - Call off Orders - Customs Clearance - Service Centers) for home appliances manufacturing factory with annual volume of 500K washing machines and 200K refrigerators, reporting to Supply Chain Director and headed 4 direct and 110 indirect team members.
• Decreased raw material “Days on Hand” by 11%.
• Increased Service Level Agreement (SLA) to 97% instead of 92%.
• Implemented Electrolux Manufacturing System “EMS” for warehouse that decreased material supply time by 50%, and increased inventory accuracy to 90% instead of 60%.
Full responsibility of (Production Planning and Control - Material Planning - Service Centers) in Delta Factory for Washing Machines and Refrigerator Production “two separate factories under one roof”, reporting to Supply Chain Manager and headed 3 direct and 10 indirect team members.
• Selected among the team members of “Acquisition Project” between Electrolux and Olympic.
• Increased overall production volume by 9%.
• Applied “Lean Techniques” to better serve the operations that reduced physical inventory cost by 5 million EGP within 1 year.
IDACO is a pioneer manufacturer of wiring harnesses in Egypt; 1500 employees, 60% local market share and exports (since 2005) to UK, Italy and Germany.
In charge of all export activities as well as local procurement and planning activities, reporting to Supply Chain Manager and headed 8 team members.
• Enhanced “Order on Time Fulfillment” from 70% to over 90%.
• Assisted in initiating business with major car makers(GB Auto - GM - Lada - Nissan - Arab Organization for Industrialization).
• Appointed as a project manager of “Gap Closure Program” sponsored by GM global office in Brazil that focused on supplier development and raised audit score from 32% to 75%.
Full responsibility of technical sourcing including contracting, quality and prices of wire harness and many special components such as (Special Wires - Sockets - Terminals) from global and local suppliers (TYCO - YAZAKI - AMP - El Sewedy Cables), reporting to Supply Chain Manager and headed 1 team member.
• Generated first export opportunity to UK within 6 months with total volume of 100, 000 STG.
• Gained a manufacturing contract with Volkswagen to produce 10, 000 wire harnesses annually.
• Led the negotiation with YAZAKI Company in Turkey that established first foreign production line in IDACO factory.
Established and maintained business relationship with existing and prospective clients to market A/C Systems and Power Generators in the Oil & Gas industry.
Negotiated proposals for update, installment and set up of advanced production lines for the Food and Beverage plants
Designed full harness drawings and developed complete online Engineering Bill of Material.
Implemented design improvement projects directed at reducing cost and improving
product performance as well as resolved assembly and warranty problems.
Conducted regular supply base and competitive analysis
Researched and designed a diesel engine emission control prototype system yielding 95% carbon free smoke as well as wire-harnessed all sensors to the SMART2000 data acquisition system.
Teaching Assistant - Taught and supervised both junior level Electronics lab and senior level Robotics lab. Designed and fabricated a prototype 'Intelligent Rear View Mirror System' using the 68HC11 Handy-Board micro-controller made by MIT, and sponsored by General Motors Corporation of Warren, MI.
