Tendering Engineer:
• Review drawings and specifications and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to include in final project estimate.
• Responsible for the preparation and subsequent negotiation of Tender submissions for Civil Engineering projects
• Examine incoming tenders and review contract potential
• Sourcing pre-project information and analyzing sub-contractor quotations, agreements & enquiries
• Build up tender price from first principles based on the scope of works, plans, specification, programme
• Utilize existing cost history to complete estimate
• Cost planning using candy soft ware (CCS).
• Produce tender report in preparation for tender adjudication
• Hold adjudication/settlement meeting with Estimating & Operational Directors
• Attend pre & post contract interviews, client meetings etc.
• Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid.
• Preparing technical envelopes.
