In September 2023, I undertook the role of a Field Service Engineer with Baker Hughes at the OPCO SOCIEDADE OPERACIONAL ANGOLA LNG Plant in Soyo, Angola. The primary focus of this assignment was the replacement of the Dry Gas Seal for the High-Pressure centrifugal compressor, specifically C1613/2BCL807. My responsibilities extended beyond mere replacement, encompassing a meticulous Root Cause Analysis and investigation into the underlying problem that led to the Dry Gas Seal failure. This involved a comprehensive examination to identify the genuine cause of the failure, followed by the formulation and presentation of viable solutions. The execution phase involved the actual replacement of the Dry Gas Seal, with subsequent involvement in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and the successful start-up of the facility. This engagement demanded a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure the seamless integration of the new Dry Gas Seal and the optimal performance of the HP centrifugal compressor.

During the period from January to April 2022, I assumed the role of Field Service Engineer (FSE) Lead for Baker Hughes in the context of the QAFCO-6 shutdown in Qatar.
