Responsible for the development of engineering projects from initial budget creation for engineering and draughting work scopes to the implementation/completion stage. I typically design components for the handling of equipment offshore, this includes the carrying out structural calculations, performing FEA analysis and the creation of fabrication drawings. As part of the engineering work requests I created many lift plans for a variety of applications to be implemented offshore.

As a Project Engineer at Sparrows I provide support to ongoing client work scopes, this typically includes preparing proposals, creating work packs (for implementing at worksite) and closing out the work scope upon completion. I provide support to the implementation process by procuring materials and spares and creating/revising the procedures for a broad range of maintenance and other improvements to the client asset.

Conduct requirements gathering with Clients, project managers and engineers to develop scope of work and project plan for new products and mechanical systems. Create design specifications and mock ups for development of plate processing machinery using 3D design software. Confirm suitability of design with regards to strength and function in accordance with international standards. Collaborate with teams in ensuring form, fit and function of designs while maintaining budget and schedule for production.

Maintained operational procedures for equipment by reviewing and verifying requirements of the project, maintenance schedules and safety. Applied structural design calculations for equipment mobilisation, and authority requirements, produced detailed designs and fabrication drawings ensuring design and requirements are reliable for product.

Executed designs for blasting, induction heating, FBE application and injection moulding of field joint equipment for on and offshore pipe coating. Authored testing procedures for equipment, implemented data logging, and preventative maintenance schedule ensuring key performance indicators, reduction of breakdowns and historical data of products were consistently documented and tracked.

► Championed an oversees project designing multiple items of an equipment spread value of £250, 000 leading fabrication, production, testing, and delivering final product to customer.
► Recommended equipment improvements and modifications by performing structural analysis using finite element analysis software to verify suitability for operation and transport conditions.
