Project Engineer

• Currently handling fabrication activities of the foundation for Borwin3 HVDC platform subcontracted to Heerema Fabrication Group. My main duties include clarifying technical requirements and ensuring they are met during execution, planning activities in line with project schedule and following their progression, reviewing submitted documents and coordinating with engineering and installation team to deliver drawings.
• Managed the tendering activities for the fabrication of the foundation for Borwin3 HVDC platform through evaluating tenders and negotiating with the shortlisted bidders.
• Liaised with Client and Certifying Authority to expedite the approval of the design.
• Supervised the pre-engineering surveys carried on site in the North Sea and interfaced with geotechnical consultant to finalize the foundation design of the platform.
• Monitored the timely execution and within budget of 4 consultancy packages with a value of $2 Million.
Proposals Engineer
February 2013- April 2014 | Sharjah, UAE
• Handled the costing for a gas plant proposal. Led a team of 3 engineers and evaluated multiple process schemes to reduce capital cost and improve the bidding position.
• Developed comparative models to assess the manpower capacity of the proposals team and identified existing gaps between required and available resources.
Graduate Engineer
October 2011- January 2013 | El Merk, Algeria / Sharjah, UAE
• Coordinated the construction activities for a package of 11 compressors and turbines supplied by General Electric valued at $100 Million. All items were installed and approved by client on schedule.
• Planned resource and equipment allocation on a daily basis and controlled labor charges by subcontractors.
