The purpose of the Contract is the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, putting into service of the East of Nile Monorail Transportation System with a length of 56.44 km and 22 stations and the West of Nile Monorail Transportation System with a length of 42 km and 12 stations, including one depot for each Monorail Transportation System line. Contract Price: Euro 2.7 billion.

Client: Ministry of Transport represented by the National Authority for Tunnels.

Contractor: Consortium comprises a Consortium (Bombardier Transportation UK and Bombardier Transportation Egypt) and a Joint Venture (Orascom and Arab Contractors Osman A. Osman & Co.)

Post Award Responsibilities:
• Identified and communicated any issues as well as actions taken to mitigate those issues;
