High-end clients include the popular clothing brand Whitestuff and the retail giant Mothercare. Projects ranged from: Concept event illustrations for weddings, business dinners, festivals and events, logo design and character design.
Purple Patch Gifts LLC is a Dubai based gifts and souvenirs company who are the specialists in ‘turn-key’ design, development and delivery of innovative, high quality commercial customer gifts, merchandise and promotional items. High-end clients include Emaar’s AT THE TOP and AQUARIUM stores, HALLMARK Gulf Greetings and Toystore, MERAAS Dubai Parks and Resorts, DUBAI DUTY FREE and JASHANMAL. Responsible for: • Initial design concepts mocked in Adobe Illustrator based on clients brief. • Artworking to specified templates given by suppliers. • Creating new packaging ideas for various products. • Communicating with cliental at each point of the design process. • Communicating with suppliers in China from the initial design to the final product. • Sourcing new suppliers online through the trade website ‘Alibaba’ as well as local trade shows for products based on best terms and quotes. • Product photography of new and existing products and retouching of photos in Photoshop to place into product catalogue. • Creating brand guidelines for new design ranges. • Working closely with the design director for new design ranges and licensed products.
Enviromedia produces a bi-monthly environmental publication ‘Environment Industry Magazine’.
Responsible for layout editorial content for each article of the magazine as well as artwork, including:
• Sourcing imagery to complement client’s editorial copy for print and digital, this often includes taking own photographs and composing designs to suit the content of articles.
• Working in Indesign as well as Photoshop and Illustrator to produce the final layout of the articles.
• Working towards set printing deadlines.
• Responsibilities include: following products from illustration to production and product research.
• Working alone and in a team, sometimes liaising directly with the head of the company to successfully design giftware to appeal to the given market.
• Following packaging templates to produce eye-catching illustrations for the packaging to associate with the product.
