o Promotes the maintenance management system, ensuring application of maintenance procedures, method and best practices.
o Ensure planning and scheduling of maintenance operations, looking for the optimum use of resources, equipment availability and maintenance cost.
o Though the Reliability Committee, drive cross functional analysis of incidents and maintenance performance, implementing the action plans to improve both reliability and maintenance practices.
o Assist the Maintenance Manager with the preparation of the budget (on-going and major operations) ensuring technical justification for maintenance major operations.
ACHIEVMENTS,
o Successful completion of up gradation project from 5000 to 6000 tpd, main installation of high capacity Deep Pan Conveyor Gear Box.
o Modification of kiln feed rotary air lock.
o Ensure good working condition and safety for maintenance operations.
o With the assistance of the Maintenance Manager schedule and prepare major shutdowns ensuring co-ordination with other departments.
o Look for the best optimization of maintenance operations according to the availability of equipment and workforce.
o Maintain and update the preventive maintenance program and its master plan (especially inspection and lubrication programs), ensuring quality and relevance as well as implementation.
o Ensure the utilization of feedback from inspection as the driver for maintenance operations.
o Collect and handle the entire work request and check for accuracy of technical information. .
o Ensure quality of technical specifications for spares and sub-contracted work.

o Keep library updated and ensure equipment documentation is permanently updated “as built”.

o Analyze and propose solutions on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems concerning safety and wok conditions, within the framework of the Reliability Committee.
o Ensure that the maintenance practices comply with the Quality Assurance Standards.
o Contribute the development of working methods and definitions of procedures and ensure their implementation.
o Managing team, define the missions and objectives, carry out their performance reviews, promote the quality of the work, motivate the personnel, facilitate communication and relationships (regular department meetings, reports to the hierarchy).
o Ensure the permanent update of the personal skills, develop and implement a training plan for the team.
Job Responsibilities;
Section Head (Mechanical Maintenance) of Kiln Area, both lines L-I (Dia 4.2m, Grate Cooler) & L-II (Dia 4.25m, L=66m, IKN Cooler),
o Is responsible for the safe execution and the quality of maintenance work to be carried out on mechanical equipment, respecting budget, policies and deadlines.
o Optimize maintenance operations, using best available tools and procedures in order to maximize equipment availability.
o Ensure proper day- to- day scheduling of works and necessary resources. Assign and review work to perform with the craftsmen.
o Ensure upon completion of repairs, that equipment is in good operating condition, ready to meet operational requirements, fully inspected, tested, clean and safe.
o Take adequate actions when mechanical incidents occur.
o Manage team, define the missions and objectives, carry out their performance reviews, promote the quality of the work, motivate his personnel, facilitate communication and relationships (regular department meetings, reports to the hierarchy)
o Keep ready for general plant practices so as to ensure “on-call” duty.
o Ensure working conditions and safety at work.
o Monitor the time requirements for each job and the optimal manpower and skills necessary for executing jobs.
o Respond to emergency repair needs.
o Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares.
o Responsible for maintenance operation and troubleshooting of all field job activities related to Mechanical, the major of which including (Kiln Feed System, Pre-heater, Rotary Kiln, Clinker Cooler, Clinker Transportation, etc.),
o To supervise the maintenance activities in order to reduce the breakdown time, i.e. replacement of Bucket Elevator’s accessories, Cyclone’s Center Tubes, Kiln’s inlet & outlet sectors, Thrust Device’s Hyd. Cylinder repair kit, Main Burner’s pipes etc.,
o Assist kiln comprehensive inspection and measure kiln axial load,
o Participate in Ultra-Sonic Testing of Kiln Shell, Live Rings, Supporting Roller Bearings,
o Preparing Schedules of lubricants and their implementation,
o Periodically maintained a nominal stock of critical spares, constantly interacted with the vendors and suppliers for further purchases, technical evaluation of vendor offers and ensured that the procurement is favorable to the purchase terms, and co-ordinate with HOD.
