Responsible for LPS coverage in Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and CIS. Developing and implementation of LPS strategy within the region. Developing and maintain Security and Loss Prevention policy for all areas of the business including Head Office, Wholesale, Retail, E-Commerce, Logistics and Partner Stores. Manage security and loss prevention budgets. Developing and maintain the Business Continuity Plan to protect people and property within the region. Physical Security, Asset Protection & Loss Prevention
Responsible for support and supervision of all Loss Prevention and Security related activities across the Central and Eastern Europe. Participate in the developing of new LPS and business activity within new Amazon region, developing the regional LPS structure. LPS project leader for constructing of four new FC’s within the region this year. Leader of projects and participant on projects across the EMEA region, close cooperation and participation on working groups with the Corporate HQ in US.
Serving as Project Advisor for small, high-tech start-up that develops and provides remote monitoring of business and operational processes through security technology. Interact with clients that represent some of the world’s largest companies, including Carrefour and Metro. Designed and established 51 security/ops logics to control and ensure compliance for business practices, with the large majority from a retail processes and policies standpoint.
Directed all loss prevention and security activities/goals across +400 stores and 5 distribution centers for the #2 retail chain in Europe ($90 billion in global sales), reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the executive board. Led team of 25 direct and 56 indirect reports across both countries. Planned and administered multimillion-dollar budget. Established priorities and targets aligned with overall business plan.
Held full responsibility for the corporate security environment, including crisis management, internal investigations, security contractors, security training, and physical security. Evaluated the Loss Prevention & Security Strategy within the Czech and Slovak business to ensure fulfillment of business goals. Served as an active member of the Leadership Team, Compliance Committee, and Crisis Management Team.
Selected Highlights:
• Led internal-to-outsourced transition for security guarding system within 2 months, resulting in a $2, 7M annual cost savings and increased LPS effectiveness.
• Spearheaded implementation of intelligent remote surveillance for +400 multi-format stores and 5 distribution centers, an immediate $1, 3M savings, and a recurring $840K annual cost reduction.
• Achieved exemplary results from investigations, averaging 30-50 cases annually and generating $2, 9M total amount.
• Contributed to successful takeover of 2 competing retail chains and their subsequent integration into the existing Tesco network.
• Oversaw smooth, secure implementation of self-check-out system from project to customer approval stage implemented within 15 hyper stores in year 1.
• Played key role in transition from Slovak crown to Euro currency in terms of cash security, logistics, and storage.
• Generated $2, 1M in initial savings and $1, 4M in annual savings, achieved overall savings of 6-19% through strict adherence to budget requirements.
• Reduced Unknown Losses from 1, 79% to 0, 61% level within a 1.5-year period.
Held full P&L accountability for start-up of Czech arm of the largest French security provider (turnover of $3, 01M in CR in 2004). Directed, coached, and motivated cross-functional team of 250. Led efforts in capitalizing on new business opportunities and bringing in new clients; negotiated contracts for new business.

• Expanded the client base from zero to 24, including Credit Lyonnaise Bank, IKEA, Grand Optical, and Marrionaud among others, with turnover growth from zero to $1, 85M by the end of the first year.
• Grew the company staff from zero to 250, building a top-talent team through astute recruiting, screening, and hiring strategies.
In charge of all security activities and functions across 11 hyper stores and a 1 distribution center for the #2 retailer worldwide, reporting directly to the COO and supervising/coaching team members in both countries. Held full accountability for store security projects and security budget of $11, 8M. Guided and influenced the Group Board on setting achievable targets for Group Loss Prevention and Stock Loss; worked with Group Internal Audit on improving relationships/processes and with local teams on plans across multiple areas.

• Facilitated smooth opening of 11 stores in 2 countries through careful planning and preparation; trained Security Management teams in all stores.
• Captured $0, 7-$0, 9M in savings each year of tenure through prudent budget management. Drove cost savings of $450K (initial) and $94K (ongoing/annual) through negotiations with security agencies.
• Developed group vs. local structure across 11 stores and 1 distribution centre, with projected cost, productivity, and reactivity improvements.
• Led successful transformation from analog to fully digital security systems as the first retail chain in Central Europe to accomplish this feat; completed project in 3 weeks with zero security gaps, capturing $650K in annual savings as a result.
• Adapted global corporate standards into the Czech/Slovak local law standards, created functional security systems, developed succession plans for the team, created a group “Think Shrink” program for continuous shrinkage improvement, and implemented numerous other improvement-driven solutions.
Oversaw all executive functions of the department, including strategic planning, operations, finance, P&L, marketing, HR, and administration. Managed $1, 3M operating budget and $0.9M CAPEX budget. Supervised, directed, and mentored team of 12 investigators. Reported directly to the CEO; planned and managed full engagement cycle, from initial contact with executives, project proposals, fee structuring, and negotiations.

• Paved the way for projected annual savings of $370, 000 as the key manager for the installation of a group-wide relational software for data mining and data management.
• Developed and implemented fraud awareness program, adding $0, 7M in training revenues.
