•Position involved studying model predictive control and transfer function identification for building heating and cooling, as well as optimized control for district cooling.
•Work mainly consisted of engineering modeling and simulation, statistical and numerical methods, and engineering instrumentation.
Helped develop a new addition to the GCS product line: A hand-powered maize grinder. This involved modifying a previous grinder design to suit the African market by producing finer flour, as well as designing a collection/sieving mechanism for the grinder. Work consisted of an equal blend of engineering research and mechanical manufacturing.
Position involved providing technical assistance for the sales team of the Unitary Products Group. This primarily consisted of AC unit selection, pricing, and sizing based on clients' requirements.
Position involved researching centrifugal and axial compressors, investigating the pros and cons of potential new products, and recommending whether or not a product is worth installing and contacting the suppliers if it is.
Position involved inspection and research of pipelines and their various components, including valves, actuators and pipeline casing.
