• Coordinate and participated in more than six (6) projects with a range of cost from $1M to $200M budgeted-projects.
• Created budget and cost savings in several projects.
• Developed a project Engineer handbook for the engineers working in Project support unit.
• Participated with several innovations to improve the process planning and executing the projects
• Participated with several safety suggestions to improve the safety of the contractors involved in the projects.
Project Champion, Sulfur Recovery Units Upgrade Project
Saudi Aramco, Uthmaniyah Gas Plant (2009 - 2011)
A $200M project to upgrade and improve the recovery efficiency of the Sulfur unit from 97% to 99% to comply with local and global environmental regulations. It was a challenging project since
it was performed on an operating facility where the schedule has to accommodate the ongoing production and the planned shutdowns.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the cross-functional team during the project execution
• Monitor and control the project schedule, quality, and expenditures.
• Plan and coordinate the shutdown schedule for each unit
• Manage the change requests and manage their implementations.
Supervision of the Turnarounds and Projects Unit. Managing the planning, scoping, budgeting and execution of the Plant turnarounds and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Plan, procure and execute Tunrover & Inspection (T&I) activities on Uthmaniayh Gas Plant units.
• Assign the engineers to each of the projects.
• The planning include developing project scope, project schedule and estimated budget.
• Plan and coordinate the shutdown schedule for each unit
• Leading and managing the execution teams and cross-functional teams during the shutdown windows.
• Monitor and Control schedule, cost and quality during the execution stage.
MSc in Project Management - Construction & Infrastructure
At beginning, I was studying at Milwaukee School of Engineer, WI, US. However, due to the visa issues, I have to complete my study at KFUPM. Currently, I am pursuing a Master Degree in Project Management at University of Liverpool Online.
