- Manage the consultant activities in relation to assigned projects.
- Responsible and manages efforts to resolve conflicts in any of the assigned projects, contracts or site conditions and pursues timely resolution of such issues so work can continue unimpeded and without delay always in coordination with team members and respective project leads.
- Assess in coordination with project leads current work fronts, rates of progress, and anticipates any obstructions that could arise and adversely affect the progress of work. Initiates corrective actions.
- Responsible for and manages process for review of technical information for completeness of design and constructability with discipline leads.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders i.e. (team members, other UDC departments) and external stakeholders i.e. design consultants, contractors, and other entities for clarifications, changes, and problem resolutions.
- Monitor and oversee the performance of the Consultant and the Contractor in relation to the timely execution of works at site in all technical, safety related, commercial and legal aspects.
- Identify major area of concerns; provide solutions and escalate in case required. Also, participate in regular progress and management meetings.
- Ensure that correspondence is being answered in a timely manner by Consultant and UDC.
- Review reports by the Consultant for further submission for conformity to accepted standards, compliance with statutory requirements, completeness, accuracy and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Review monthly report by Consultant and at the same time review and approve monthly interim statements by contractor following stablished procedures.
- Prepare Variation Orders, work orders etc. in collaboration with contracts and procurement departments following established procedures
- Prepare monthly and interim progress reports to the Management
- Prepare / review technical report, cost estimates, specifications and other necessary plans
- Follow up on established Taking-over and handing-over procedures and follow up on snags and defects rectification
- Leading other Engineers / Architects allocated to the project
- Monitor compliances to policies and procedures
