• Monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting of Etisalat Mobile operator Network (Huauwei’s devices) including Routers, switches, MGW and its attached links (E1, E3, STM1...)
• Experience of troubleshooting and solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, MPLS TE and Router redundancy protocols (VRRP).
• Perform rapid diagnostic measures in order to discover and fix failed network devices
• Prepare required documentation for the implemented solutions and the implementation steps to be presented to Etisalat IP-BACKBONE team.
• Performing proactive maintenance for the network infrastructure devices.
• Configuring variable Huawei’s devices including N40 Core routers, RNC, MGW devices.
• Upgrading the VRP OS on all the N40 routers with no disturbance in the network operation.
• Using Specific Network Management Servers (E2000) to monitor the status of the IP infrastructure and its attached links.
• Following up on trouble ticketing systems with other teams
Remote Change Management Team
• Leading team of 4 engineers across two Goes’ in specific Products (Cisco /Brocade)
• Working on 4 different Products for RCM (Symmetrix, Cisco, Brocade, and Centera).
• Responsible for performing remote Change management tasks upgrades, configuration changes implementing FCO procedures.
• Managing escalation for failed devices and managing communication between support team and customer to ensure high quality customer service
• Responsible for the Development team within the RCM team in the initial phase and part of the global virtual team for Development in the CSS department
• Communicating Training needs from the team to management and ensuring that Plans is followed to raise the technical knowledge of the team.
• Leading The Project introducing the Connectrix products into RCM :
- creating and communicating the Training plans
- head count needs and to
- Creation the process to be used by PCE’s from the initial assignment phase, performing the upgrade and Escalation for failed upgrades.
- Creating and communicate Training needs for the engineers responsible for the Performing the Upgrades.
- Request and follow up on the tools required for the project (scheduler, CSI queue and connection methods)
: to manage, maintain and troubleshoot:
• Edge routers 3750, 2811, 2801, 1760 .Backbone switch Cisco Catalyst 4507 R & Cisco 3560 access switches.
• Motorola canopy T1, E1 mux with canopy BHs , Cisco Aironet 1130 .
• IP phone systems that includes Cisco Call manager v4, Cisco unity express.
• UNIX Servers Sunfire V890 & E250
• Sun storage StorEdge 6900 & 3310
• Security appliances ASA 5250 and IPS 2420.
• Using internet monitoring tools like surf control, web sense .
• network monitoring tools Such as: Solarwinds Orion .
• ISA, Active Directory &CRM servers.
