Responsible for working closely with architects, and clients on various structural and civil engineering programmes, creating detailed plans, ensuring that all activity meets both internal company standards and external regulatory requirements with respect to Health, Safety and Environment to ensure the Company's obligations and policies in these areas are fully complied with.
Duties:
• Day to day basis of refurbishment works to Victorian and Georgian properties where the practice offers the complete service of project management, structural engineering, building surveying and their details.
• Subsidence work from housing association to private clients, most being in the order of front elevation foundation works, although several have required underpinning of large Victorian properties using traditional as well as piled foundation techniques. Liaising with clients and their representatives, other professionals within design teams and contractors' representatives during construction.
• Ensuring that building regulations, NHBC and any other regulatory body sign off is achieved.
• Ensuring that all assigned work is completed on time and within agreed budget.
• Attending meetings and competently communicate with clients, architects and contractors.
• Setting out project works in accordance with drawings and specification.
• Carrying out site visits, surveys and preparing visual structural reports.

• Preparing Specification of Works, assessing tender returns and liaising with Loss Adjusters for subsidence works.
• Working on a wide range of projects, including building structures and retail and office developments.
