• Carrying out consultancies & advisory tasks to the Training Department Manager, related to the training process, and to participate in setting the strategic plans to enhance & develop the performance of the Training Department.
• Providing the Training Manager with the appropriate plans to determine the Company's training needs, & setting the necessary programs to fulfil these needs.
• Participating in the evaluation & selection of the appropriate local & overseas training providers responsible for the implementation of Company's yearly training plans.

Training & Development Superintendent at Sirte Oil Company

• Full supervision of the Local, External and English language training divisions and administrative affairs unit, and follow-up of each division regarding the implementation of the Sirte Oil Co. annual training plans both local and external.

• Supervision of the committees that are formed to study the training needs for company's employees of all departments, analysis and design the necessary training plans and oversee their implementation.

• Participation in the study of the company's strategic objectives and translate them into plans and programs to be implemented in order to serve these goals.

• Work with the Department of Personnel in the study of the needs of the company of national employment in various specialties and filling the shortage of vacancies and the Libyanization of some foreign jobs through the training and development of target users and develop their skills to become qualified to fill those positions.

• Coordination with various departments of the company in conducting research and studies necessary to improve the level of performance and development of the company's operations in various specializations.


• Participate in the preparation of annual training budgets needed for the implementation of various training plans.

• Work as a member of the Training programs Evaluation Committee, which involves in the study and analysis of training offers received from various universities, institutes, and bodies of local and external training and select the best ones for implementation.

• Participation in all conferences and meetings held at the level of the National Oil Corporation to discuss the training and development needed for workers in the Oil sector and examine all obstacles that prevent the development employees’ performance, and determine the best solutions to overcome these obstacles.

• Participate in visiting and evaluating local and external training providers and assess of their potential and the ability to implement different training programs included in the training plans.

• Supervision of administrative work for monitoring and directing the coordinators and supervisors of training & development units, evaluate the performance of each unit, and make plans required for the development of each unit.

Training Specialist II at Sirte Oil Company

• Participating in preparation of the company’s overseas training plan for over 235 employees every year. This part involved studying the training needs for all trainees and determining the training programs required for each trainee based on his /her training needs.
• Resourcing for training programs that suit our trainees. This is done by contacting universities, colleges & companies all over the world to resource training programs for different fields of professions.
• Analyzing the contents of the received training proposals to ensure that they contain the technical contents required for each trainee.
• Negotiating the training providers regarding the tuition fees and modifying the courses contents if needed.
• Arranging with the training providers to implement the training programs. This includes obtaining visas, airline tickets & all other travel arrangements required.
• Following the trainees while attending their courses to ensure that they receive very good training programs, which in turn will improve their work performance.
• Prepare final reports for all conducted courses, which contain assessments of the trainees and the training provider for each course and the recommendations accordingly.
• Arrange with all departments to assess their trainees after they resume their jobs by 3 months to one year to evaluate the efficiency of each course and propose the necessary recommendations accordingly.
