Resident Engineer of Ext. of Arab League project, The project is located on Arab League Street in zone 70, Umm Salal Municipality area. The total length of roads is approximately 5 km. The project includes the construction of the following components:
a) Around 5 km new dual 3-lane carriageway road as part of extension of Arab League street to connect to existing temporary truck route (TTR).
b) Around 5 km new service roads with parking.
c) 3 traffic signal junctions.
d) 1 roundabout on temporary truck route (TTR).

• Foul Water Drainage
• Treated Sewerage Effluent Network.
• Pavement construction
• Kerbs and light duty pavements
• Traffic signs and road markings
• Traffic Signals

• Utility works Including protection and road crossing ducts (KAHRAMAA Electricity, Water, OorOOoo,
OAF, etc.)

I am responsible for the delivery of the entire project including:-

• Act as the Engineer’s Representative.
• Direct supervision and coordination of the construction works to achieve construction in accordance with the Contract Documents.
• Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the construction team namely, the Engineers, inspectors, surveyors and materials teams.
• Lead the construction supervision team.
• Manage construction supervision, quality control, financial control, hand over and other site operations.
• Act as the point of contact for Contractors.
• Monitor progress against accepted construction schedule and review the Contractor’s progress reports. Asses the progress and inform the PMC and the client in case of delay.
• Manage the change procedure in agreement with the client and issue properly authorized instructions to the Contractor, as appropriate.
• Report to the Construction Director actual progress against the schedule and cost objectives approved by client.
• Identify specific problems that have occurred, and the proposed solutions by the Contractors, as appropriate.
• Provide claims analysis support, including dispute resolution.
• Participate in contract close-out activities.
• Coordinate with all concerned parties on all construction (and design) issues.
• Chair the progress meetings with the Contractor and report on issues, as necessary.
• Report issues, status and progress of works on site.
• Monitor the Contractor’s performance.
• Monitor concerned authorities (agencies) approvals.
• Monitor and report on deficiencies related to planned resources.
• Review Contractor’s progress reports.
• Assess progress on site and prepare reports to be submitted to the Client.
• Coordinate (as necessary) all utility matters between contractors and all concerned Agencies.
• Set and monitor duration of submittal review and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, etc.
• Monitor and manage the as built records.
• Provide final approval to Works and arrange handover and manage the contract close out activities.
• Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project.
• Fully accountable and responsible for ensuring the Project Safety Plan (PSP) is in place and functioning from the beginning of the project; participates in PSP development. Ensures that all Project based employees work safely and in accordance with the PSP.
• Maintain a daily dairy and daily reports by all Engineers and inspectors.
• Check and verify the information in the Contractor’s daily report including all the resources (labour, equipment and materials).
• Maintain awareness of contracts financial status.

The Project comprises of construction and upgrade of the section of Rayyan Road from east of Bani Hajer Roundabout at the western extent of the scheme, to west of the New Rayyan Roundabout at the east end of the scheme, together with the construction and upgrading of associated side roads and service roads. The total length of the improvement scheme is approximately 2.9 km plus 1.0 km of side roads, associated service roads (approximately 5.0 km), 2 minor junctions (under passes), Sewerage network, TSE network, Storm Water drainage network and structures.
I am tasked with management of the following tasks associated with the construction of the road works (earthworks, pavement, drainage networks, Water network, TSE network, signage and road marking, safety barriers, etc.):
1- Management of the Highways site engineers/ Inspectors.
2- The review and approval of the Contractor’s method statements, risk assessments, shop drawings, calculations, etc;
3- Preparing the minutes of technical meetings with the Contractor, etc.;
4- Reviewing the Contractor’s temporary works submissions and operations;
5- Reviewing the Contractor’s submissions relating to materials and sub-contractors;
6- Reviewing the Contractor’s temporary traffic management plans.
7- Reviewing the Contractor design submissions;
8- Coordinate with the Supervising Consultant team members with respect to quality, health & safety, progress and cost issues;
9- On-going supervision of the Contractor’s works, including off site plants;
10- Coordinate with the Designer in relation to design queries and possible redesign issues; and
11- Liaison with the Authority, as well as other agencies and stakeholders.

1- Supervision of the constructions work at the site including the Road work, Infrastructures work, Water Network, excavation, demolition and follow up the client inspections.
2- Follow up the construction materials, equipment and man powers within budget and planed schedules.
3- Responsible for all application, coordination for permits, NOCs and the like with the related Statutory Authorities, Utilities and other Third parties for the successful execution of the Scope of Works.
4- Prepare the daily/weekly reports of work in progress and the look ahead requirements.
5- Update the Project Program.
6- Prepare the Intermediate invoices.

Supervising all the construction works especially Industrial and Infrastructure work including Roads, Power Plants, water, waste water networks. pump stations, substations, and the related works.
Supervising the site activities and ensuring compliance to standards and specifications.
reporting to the P.m or Con. M.
Preparing and monitoring the projects schedules and progress.
Overseeing project schedules, budgets and resources within allocated cost and time parameters.
follow the safety rules and fulfill the HSE requirements
Supervising site foreman and workers and ensuring adequate equipment, machinery and material supplies.

Road Works and Infra Structure at West Bay Zone 33 and 60-68 (Project 101) Open Trench Sewer Network up to 800 mm Dia, Micro Tunneling Sewer Line 1400 mm Dia, House Connections, water pipe lines, TSE and Irrigation Network, 66kva cable laying, street lighting, Road works and landscaping.

• Supervision, Participation in the full design, production of tender drawings and bill of quantities and start operation supervision of low cost Decentralized Sanitation and sewerage Project at Elmoufty village - Kafr ElShiekh including small bore sewers, pump station, force main and wastewater treatment plant with oxidation ponds for RODECO consultant GmbH, GTZ German Aid
• Complete design of Water Booster and preparation of its workshop drawings for Shark Eltafrea water treatment plant, Elabed Contractors Company
• The full design and production of tender documents; Specs, B.O.Q, Workshop DWG’s for (Reusing of Treated Waste Water, TSE of Fayed W.W.T.P in Agriculture Project) including T.W.W Pump Station, force main, T.W.W lagoons, Irrigation pump Station and irrigation Network in Fayed - Al Esmaelia - (National Organization of potable Water and Sanitary Drainage - NOPWSD)
• Full Design of Althawra and Alouroba Road Tunnel Storm Water drainage system, production of shop drawings and bill of quantities - Naser City - Egypt.
