- Assist with site selection and work closely with contractors on site, ensuring that works are carried out to specific standards and ensuring that the building is sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Negotiating with contractors and other professionals.
- Construction co-ordination between all disciplines.
- Supervising the works of relevant contractors, ensuring quality and construction are in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations.
- Review shop drawings.
- Review materials and suppliers to ensure compatibility with required standards.
- Inspect materials delivered to site for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Verify sub-contractor's ability to perform works.
- Review method statements submitted by the contractors.
- Inspect works on site to ensure they meet specifications and acceptable standards.
