Modern Suez Gypsum Company (An EKH Subsidiary), Managing Director, April 2012 - February 2014
- Directed the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of proposals for the mechanical and electrical installations works for a 700 ton/day gypsum producing factory.
- Negotiated and executed the mechanical and electrical installations contracts.
- Established new procedures for change management and follow up.
- Negotiated a settlement agreement with the civil contractor whereby all delay and price change claims were settled.
- Chaired management meetings with banks, suppliers, and customers.
- Accomplished the erection of the factory within time and below the set budget.
- Directed the recruitment of a complete staff of about 70 different disciplines for engineering, administration, operation and maintenance.
- Reduced operating costs by 50% by selecting a multi-skill staff able to operate and manufacture required fabrications at the same time and by updating production line through procuring advanced mechanical and electrical equipment which saved electricity consumption.
- Opened export markets for the company worth 40% of production capacity.

Building Material Industries Company (An EKH Subsidiary)
- Achieved the successful termination of an EPC contractor for a cement factory of annual capacity 1.5 million tons and an investment cost of LE equivalent 1.7 billion.
- Saved USD 17 million during negotiation with the terminated contractor and eliminated an arbitration case.
- Directed the preparation of tender documents for a new EPC contract for the cement factory.
- Negotiated and contracted a new EPC contractor for building the cement factory.
- Developed a standard form of contract for the company as well as contract administration forms and procedures.
- Directed contract administration for the cement factory till contracted capacity was achieved on time and within budget which saved an investment of LE 1.7 billion.
National Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company (An EKH Subsidiary)
- Lead the negotiations and contract preparation for a multi-product fertilizers company with a French Contractor with a contract value of Euro 80 million.
- Coached the procurement and contract administration teams throughout the entire procurement cycle including review and approval of tender documents, proposal evaluation reports, and contract documents for 2 mega power plant projects (New Abu Qir and Cairo West) with an investment cost of USD 2.4 billion and total contract packages of 34 package.
- Chaired the negotiation and pre-award meetings with international and local suppliers and obtained several major price discounts amounting to about 5% of the investment cost.
- Designed, improved, and integrated changes to contract terms and conditions to incorporate market and negotiated changes.
- Supervised the execution of all contracts till handover in accordance to contracted terms.
- Achieved an average of 5% discounts in additional scope assigned to contractors.
- Ensured that the team operated within the specified man-hours allocated.

- Saved time and cost by controlling procurement functions through issuing DORs, and task lists.
