Content:
Generating content that effectively promotes the organisation, its services, businesses and culture, both externally and internally.
• Publishing a monthly thought leadership article based on an interviews with key employees
• Content creation for various internal documents, brochures and handbooks, including the induction handbook for new employees and the Code of Business Conduct
External communications:
Handling external communications on behalf of the company and assist in producing, maintaining and updating corporate literature in line with strategic intent and corporate objectives
• Overseeing content creation for marketing collateral, including brochures, handbooks, bids, tenders and presentations for a number of BMMI’ diverse divisions
• Supporting content creation for BMMI’s annual report and annual review publications
• Editing and proofreading marketing collateral for various divisions in English and Arabic
• Drafting, editing and proofreading of press releases for various divisions
• Responding to press enquiries and calls for information, as well as managing BMMI’s general external email address
Digital:
Overseeing timely updates on company websites and social media are made, as well as the creation of content for BMMI’s digital channels
• Managing content creation and community of BMMI's corporate LinkedIn page and corporate websites
• Managing social media content, strategy and community of one of BMMI’s restaurants and one of their coffee shops
• Managing digital reviews, directory entries and websites of BMMI’s F&B division
Collaboration:
Supporting the Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing and the department in achieving multifaceted goals
• Assisting in the development and implementation of corporate communications plans in line with company strategy, as well as the development and implementation of the departmental strategy
• Supporting the creation and proofreading of departmental policies and procedures
• Contribute to BMMI Group’s internal and external communications, including internal
newsletters, emails, recruitment adverts, external brochures, annual reports, corporate profiles,
press releases, editorials and various other materials for a diverse range of departments and
divisions at BMMI, both locally and globally.
• Manage, coach and assess the Corporate Communications Executive.
• Assist the Brand, Communications and CSR Manager with planning various strategies and
initiatives for the department.
• Assist the Brand, Communications and CSR Manager with CSR initiatives and sponsorships.
• Translate communications between Arabic and English when necessary.
• Perform any other duties needed by the department.
Reporter for Gulf Daily News (GDN) the leading English language newspaper in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Covered a large and diverse portfolio of stories and events for the newspaper including culture, society, crime, courtroom hearings, events, government, openings, new initiatives and profiles of people.
• Chosen as one of two reporters to cover the social, cultural and human aspect of the 2010 International Children’s Games hosted in Bahrain.
• Wrote a 14-week column chronicling personal experiences and achievements in a competition.
