Area Manager at Jarir Bookstore
  • Saudi Arabia
  • October 1995 to October 2006

I have worked for Jarir Bookstore for 18 years which granted me with great opportunities to develop prosper professional practices that were reflected on all duties and enhanced my achievements.

Sales were not the only objectives that I was working to achieve, but I also paid constant and careful attention to our most valuable assets, our customers. Successfully, I was behind the customer’s services counter and the idea to provide constant and immediate response to various customers' needs and inquiries. Also to insure adherence to policy and obtain an updated customer’s feedback which let to delighting them at most possible venues.

I managed to pass all data acquired from this practice to Headquarter which used for work improvement for departments such as purchasing and marketing who benefited from that, they were able to obtain a valid input of customer’s buying behavior, and preferences throughout the year.

This information was analyzed at the company upper management and was used as a good marketing tool.

As a result the company was able to better design and set its marketing campaign throughout the year more effectively that saved it a lot of money.

The second most valuable asset was our personnel in general whom without their dedication and great effort we could not have done it.

I strongly believe in recognition and discipline, therefore, I was able to reinforce a fair incentive and moral booster program, initiate staff training on product knowledge, sales techniques and customer service to streamline processes and to increase efficiency, of all work forces in the Eastern Province.

Gladly and with prudence I have been a member of the team who managed to convert an annual sales of 8 -10 million Riyals operation in the Eastern Province to about 250 - 300 Million Saudi Riyals during the period of my 17 years with Jarir.
