Ensuring the implementation of Project specifications, QCS for all materials, site works, testing & installations on the site.
Review of prequalification of suppliers and sub-contractors, review of material submittals prior to handing over to Senior Material Engineer.
Follow up with the contractor for Asphalt and concrete plant trials for the verification of mix designs by evaluating test results of plant trial.
Visits submitted sources for subgrade/ fill material and Road base/sub base to collect sample for testing in independent lab.
Follow up with the contractor for trial of road pavement at site.
Review and inspection of submitted material inspection requests for every material delivered to the site and ensuring they are from approved source, meet specification requirements, stored properly as per manufacturer recommendation, and is in good condition.
Coordinate with contractor and third party laboratory for sampling and testing.
Witnessing both in-situ testing and laboratory testing and ensuring testing has been done as per the standards and the test results meet specification requirements.
Ensuring sampling and testing have been done as per approved Inspection Test Plan and Method Statements.
Ensuring sampling and testing have been done as per required frequency through monitoring logs for sampling and testing of Asphalt, Road base, Subbase, Subgrade, Concrete, Kerbstone, Paving block, Hollow blocks, Reinforcement steel etc.
Reviewing all the test reports and ensures they are complying QCS and project specification.
Initiating NCR by coordinating with QA/QC Manager for any non-conformance of materials related.
Inspection for all the Snags related to Roads, Safety furniture, Directional Signs, Traffic Signs etc.
Preparing snagging list and performing re-inspection of de-snagging for final approval.
Collecting samples for testing and compute findings.
Supervise and witness test procedure to make sure it is done in a proper way and follows the standard method.
Ensure testing requirements satisfied.
Inspects materials arriving in the site and make sure all the materials are complying project specification.
Coordinate with department contractors and other consultants.
Coordinate and monitor QA/QC site procedures.
Examine and inspect materials and finished parts and products for defects to ensure conformance with specification.
Maintain library of relevant international standards.
Assist Senior Material Engineer in identifying the materials test requirements and ensuring the same throughout the project. Also make sure that all the materials meet the project specification requirements.
Monitor the work and perform the required test to ensure that all contractual quality requirements are met and complied with, so that the work is performed completely in accordance with the specified requirements and standards at all times.
Submission of appropriate materials to the concerned authority and consultant for getting approval to use in the project.
Coordinating with the Consultant for Field and Laboratory Testing of Soil, Concrete, Steel, Water, Aggregate, Asphalt and other materials related to Construction.
Verifying the test results before submission to the client and consultant.
Responsible for overall activities in the laboratory and report to senior M.E.
Coordinating with the Consultant & Contractor for Field and Laboratory Testing of Soils, Concrete, Aggregate, Steel and all materials related to Construction.
Coordinating with Technicians related to Laboratory & Field Testing and Technical referral to all relevant materials in International Standards e.g. AASHTO, ASTM, BS, BSEN, etc.
Ensure that all contractual quality requirements are met and complied with, so that the work is performed completely in accordance with the specified requirements and standards at all times.
Carry out regular review with the General Manager in order to ensure that routine activities are completed adequately to the maximum satisfaction of the customer.
Dealing with Clients for their queries, clearing doubts regarding testing and results in terms of Construction Materials Testing.

Coordinate with all departments to relay some important reports regarding Quality control.

Maintain good laboratory housekeeping standards all times.
Conducted different tests on construction materials like soil& water.
Responsible for receiving the sample, labeling and entering in the sample register according to the ISO requirements.
Responsible for maintaining the test worksheets and reports in a proper way.
