Working as Senior Sales & Installation Engineer for Caterpillar Power Generators at MOHAMED ABDULRAHMAN ALBAHAR - The CATERPILLAR dealer in the gulf.
Al Bahar has been leading the power systems sales since 1973. Being a lucrative member of my company grants me big honor & encourages us to keep focusing on our business. This process machines my skills & engineering sense not to a satisfying level; but to an ambitious & seeking behavior.
In summary; my duties are:
1) Sizing electrical loads & selecting the best power generator.
2) Creating technical & commercial offers.
3) Managing business deals & leading it to a safe level.
4) Struggling where required to overcome any possible obstacles.
5) Keeping the relations perfect with all business-related parties like suppliers & colleagues.
6) Understanding product line of gensets, recognizing the standard & optional Consists.
7) Studying Tenders projects & preparing the complied estimation, quotations & technical Submittals.
8) Working on different oracle systems (product configuration) & software.
9) Clients assistance in product support such as (product configure & consist, operation & Maintenance data, drawing data as well data which is required for parts Orders.
10) Preparing Inquires & technical issue discussion for products to be ordered from other suppliers.
11) Knowing the finance procedure & dealing with accountant in different issues.
12) Whatever required to make business done.
PO was received on January 2010 for a complete project to a Korean customer, it is a new experience to deal with Koreans, managing authorities gate passes, coordination with all parties were they key reasons of receiving more orders later.
Contacting vendors, signing contracts with them, dealing with clients & solving problems all are major part of my duties.
Purchase order was received on February 2011, it was initially for 24 generators 500KVA for a turnkey solution, supply started within March & ended within June. Order then was amended to be 45 units inclusive of installation & following many related issues like transportation & coordination with other suppliers like the synchronizing panels & others, it was a complete project management.
Going more than 200KM to Shah area to solve problems & overcome any unexpected problems were the key of success.
Detroit Diesel engines dealer in Jordan, ALLISON automatic gear transmissions, Yale forklifts, SHWING concrete pumps & others are also handled by this company.
Troubleshooting & follow up customers' requests, selling new generators, completing deals technically & commercially successfully.
