Role
• Reviewing, analysing and advising on Ministry’s portfolio of projects performance and management.
• Following up HE directives and ensuring it is being implemented to meet HE expectations.
• Managing and directing technical teams/departments to deliver assignments effectively.
• Providing advice and insights on developing and aligning departmental annual objectives with strategic goals, internal business process improvement initiatives, organisational realignment, and programs’/projects’ delivery.
• Communicating and sharing available information to ensure integrated outcome between all teams
• Articulating ideas, and preparing presentations and presenting it; if required
Responsibilities:
• Study, analyse and provide opinion and recommendations on technical issues referred by HE the Minister.
• Examine and evaluate the reports referred to by HE the Minister.
• Assess recommendations and suggestions received from various sectors of the ministry to the minister's office, and provide feedback and opinion
• Established an Enterprise PMO for the client organisation. Tailored standard management approaches, governance structure and processes for the organisation to increase its efficiency levels in managing their projects. Conducted a benchmarking exercise against international best practices and transferring project management processes and procedures and knowledge within the organisation.
• As a Program Manager in the Client´s Enterprise PMO, currently developing program plans to achieve organisation strategic goals. Consulting and reporting programs´ risks & issues and changes, to present strategic programs´ progress and updates for the Client´s executives.
Role summary:
• Carrying out the day-to-day management of design projects, throughout the project lifecycle, and covering all management aspects. This included delivering services in accordance with contractual agreements and internal organisational charters to achieve the financial objectives set at the commencement of the Project.
• Champion the internally developed integrated project management tool, used for project management and controlling.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a Project Execution Plan and Project Quality Plan and monitor delivery of our services to these documents.
• Update the project risk register and review on a monthly basis.
• Review deliverables against the resource schedule and programme to establish performance against spend and programme to enable an accurate cost to complete to be maintained.
• Maintain agreed cash flow objectives by billing in accordance with the agreement,
•Assist Resident Engineer for taking decisions regarding site issues according to site requirements and condition.
•Attend weekly quality meetings to attain project quality compliance.
•Follow up the construction activities in accordance with the project specification, method of statement and assess site requirement in coordinate with Senior Resident Engineer.
•Approval of contractors risk assessments, method statements and shop drawings.
•Inspect materials and supervise necessary tests carried out on or off the site particularly trial mixes and others related to Concrete Quality Control.
•A well rounded knowledge of shop drawing revision and bar bending schedule.
•Providing the contractor with solution by reflecting site conditions and requirement.
•Preparation of reports and monthly over view of activities and work done at site.
•Liaise with the contractor and project manager to update the project program.
•Coordinate MEP services with structural and architectural drawings, for clearance establishment.
•Work in teams to provide solutions in various fields, to achieve the project objectives.
•Assist the QS team in preparation of variation, site progress.
•Work closely with Q.C team to ensure that project quality objectives are obtained prior of issuing inspection requests.
•Ensure safety requirements are maintained and stop any activity that has been conducted in unsafe manner in coordination with safety officer.
