- Lead the HSE team (15 members) in all factories (AFI, AOI, ASD & Global Glass).
- Supervise the group’s remote sites (Suez and Damietta Ports).

- Deliver the HSE training to the managerial staff and visitors.
- Ensure the proper distribution of safety signs in all workplaces to enhance the workers safety awareness.
- Lead the risk assessment team for all plants and utilities.
- Ensure the fire safety in all plants, warehouses and offices.
- Supervise the maintenance of the existing firefighting equipment / systems to ensure its efficiency.
- Create the annual emergency drills plan and supervise its implementation.
- Ensure the compliance with the international standards (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001).
- Prepare and attend all internal and external audits related to HSE.
- Ensure compliance with the applicable HSE legal obligations.
- Liaise with the governmental bodies (H&S Directorate, Civil Defense, Industrial Control Authority, etc.).
- Evaluate the HSE team members’ performance and detect the area of improvement.
- Determine the Training Need Analysis (TNA) for the HSE team.
- Set the criteria for selection of new HSE personnel.
- Attend the weekly top management meeting and conduct the safety moments.
- Prepare the required monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Lead the monthly OHS committee meeting.
- Lead the weekly HSE departmental meetings.
- Prepare and control the HSE budget for the whole group.
- Lead the incident investigation to determine the root causes and corrective / preventive actions.
- Follow up the sharing and implementation of the incident lessons learned.
- Approve all safety equipment and PPE prior to purchasing process.
- Ensure the efficiency of emergency and first aid resources.
- Supervise the pest control procedures implementation by the contracted service provider.

Attend all audits (IFC, ERM, Insurance, etc…) that concern about the environment & health / safety of site employees.
Conduct regular audit to the subcontractors' Safety Management System.
Responsible to manage and supervise social, community and welfare facilities in the project.
Plan, participate and observe emergency drills.
Ensure that all personnel on project obtained the induction training and received the required training to get familiar with the project's HSE requirements.
