- Developing project studies for GEMCO operation.
- Leading the project from Initiation through to Concept, Pre-feasibility, and Feasibility phases.
- Ensure toll gate submissions are completed as per South32 project management framework.
- Ensure the project business case is based on sound technical and financial justification, using statistical analysis and financial modelling techniques.
- Developing and maintaining governance systems and processes to control Engineering Standards across the operation;
- Creating a portfolio of modifications and small projects;
- Co-ordinating and delivering technical support to all operational areas;
- Standards input on capital and major maintenance projects;
- Ensure deployment of change control, document and drawing management processes and systems.
Projects:
- Construction of a new grinding circuit, including installation of a new 230m long conveyor, construction of a stockpile pad and a reclaim tunnel, procurement and installation of a new SAG mill, scalping screens, and stacksizers. (Budget: $40 millions)
- Construction of a new tailings dewatering system. (Budget: $5 millions)
Responsibilities:
- Managing surface projects for Glencore CSA mine;
- Ensure all assigned projects are scoped, designed, constructed and commissioned according to agreed time frame, within budget, and conforming to the agreed specifications and quality requirements;
- Defining procurement strategies, and project execution plans;
- Managing contracts, tenders preparation and tender evaluation planning;
- Developing projects’ risk assessements and insuring all works comply to the relevant OH&S regulations;
- Developing a project management system for CSA mine by setting guidelines and procedures for project managers to follow.
Projects:
- Supply, design, and costruction of several heavy duty sizers to Pilbara region in WA for Rio Tinto’s Warramboo mine development project, and BHP’s Yandi mine expansion. (Total contracts value: $27 million)
- Supply, design, and construction of an in-pit crusher plant at Newcrest’s Hidden Valley gold mine in PNG. The plant comprised skid mounted support structure; sizer feed hopper, discharge chute, refurbished MMD sizer, feed and discharge conveyors.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the projects of supply, design, construction, and installation of crushing and conveying equipment;
- Developing studies for material processing for major consultancies and mining companies at the feasibiliy study stage;
- Preparing budget and tender offers, technical support for clients to develop the most suitable solutions for their applications;
- Managing contracts and supervising sub-contractors and suppliers.

- Preparing cost estimates for production lines for new products;
- Developing designs for plant installations and internal projects;
