Holding the position of Lead Planning Engineer within Engineering Business Dept, responsible for the Major Capital Projects Dept. and supervising Six (6) Sr. Planning Engineers working in different mega projects executed by the Major Capital Projects Dept. in the Technical Directorate.
Duties:-
1. Responsible for developing and maintaining a Centre of Excellence which consistently provides best practice Planning / Cost Control solutions to the Engineering Department - Major Projects in accordance with Engineering Industry Practices and QP Standards.

5. Supervises & provides leadership to all Senior Planning Engineers in Major Capital Projects to ensure Consistency, Quality and Continuing Improvement in accordance with QP processes/procedures and Industry Best Practices.
6. Directs and participates in the review and assessment of Contractor’s performance and reporting.
7. Responsible for ensuring effective participation of Senior Planning Engineers in the preparation and development of Cost Phasing, Budget and AFE Preparation, VOWD phasing and Invoice Validation, development of PEPs.
8. Responsible for ensuring and supporting effective contribution of Senior Planning Engineers to Technical Bid Evaluations, Variations/Claim analysis, Project Close Out and Asset Capitalization activities.
9. Responsible for coordinating and consolidating Master Plans for Major Projects. Coordination and consolidation of integrated projects weekly and monthly progress reporting.
10. Reviews Planning and Progress reports of the different project divisions (EMP, EMC, EMR). Provides expert advice and actively participates in the development of Tender / Award plans.
11. Responsible for providing Resource Planning function to (EM) and (EB) departments.
12. Accountable for ensuring Planning and Scheduling activities are carried out as per Project Management Guidelines and Procedures. Establish/develop different Planning guidelines and procedures related to INJAZ project of the Technical Directorate.
13. Active participation in the development of the Departmental Annual Business Plans, Quarterly Performance Reports for Major Projects.
14. Responsible for the coordination and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators for planning activities.
15. Carries out regular Assessments/Audits of established and improved Planning, Schedule Control and Reporting processes, procedures and systems in accordance with Engineering Business Quality Management Systems and ensures Departmental and Project wide compliance.
16. Supports Assistant Engineering Business Manager (EBM) in carrying out activities related to Planning and Scheduling.
17. Department Focal Point for improvement initiatives related to Planning, Schedule Control, Variance Analysis and Reporting Processes.

Position: Engineering Business Representative (Major Capital Projects)
Acting as Lead Engineer Project Services, and representing the Engineering Business department for the Artificial Gas Lift Project. The project is to install gas compression and dehydration facilities to provide gas lift through a network of high-pressure distribution lines to around 300 wells situated throughout the Dukhan field.
Total Forecast budget of the project is 1.0 billion QR.
Duties:-
1. Directly responsible to provide full coverage for all Engineering Business matters including Planning, Cost Control, Contract Administration, and supervising the Document control issues.
2. Planning and monitoring - until completion per plan - the overall schedule of 22 km 16" Pipeline and coordinating for all project issues. 3. Following up and updating the progress of the pipeline activities, and reviewing the subcontractor's plans.
4. Preparation of the Weekly highlights, and Monthly report including update of the master plan.
5. Preparation of the project budget updates and AFE.
Bechtel Overseas is the EPC contractor for the ELNG project for the Egyptian Petroleum Organization.
Project spanned the Engineering, Procurement, and construction Phases of Two LNG trains with the expansion of another two trains; Total Forecast Man-hours for the two Trains is 22 million with a value of US $ 1.4 billion.
Duties:-
1. Directly responsible for (E & I Contracts) for both Train 1 / Train 2.
2. Planning and monitoring the overall company master schedule for the E & I activities and coordinating with all other disciplines.
3. Following up and updating the progress of the E & I activities and reviewing the subcontractor's plans and work done including reviewing and approval of the S/C Level II / 4 weeks look ahead Schedules.
4. Preparation of the company weekly report for the client and for the main office at Houston in regards to (E & I Contracts).
5. Actively participate in all company monthly previews for the construction phase presented for the project director.
6. Focusing on quantity achieved on weekly and monthly basis. Observe company milestones and project incentive plan.
7. Initiate numerous schedules as required to support Construction and pre-commissioning Phases i.e. Plant Energization, S/S Energization, System turnover, etc.

ASPEC; Arab Specialist for Electromechanical Projects Co. is responsible for the Electrical & Security Works of San Stefano Complex Project constructed for San Stefano Company for Real Estate Investment. The Project is being supervised by Dar El Handasa and managed by LAING International.
Project spanned the construction activities (Supply and Install) of all Electrical & Security Works of the project with a value of US $ 4.9 millions + LE 48.10 millions
Duties:-
1. Planning, Initiating and Monitoring a detailed Project Scheduling of more than 8000 activities and ensure that plans are followed and fully abide with the Master Schedule of LAING.
2. Producing bar charts for all levels required and s-curves, assign the project resources using P3 ver.3.0.
3. Monthly Evaluate the Progress Invoice Payment and Obtain approvals for all construction activities.
4. Perform Daily site Records for construction activities, and Manpower.

ABB Petroleum Technology S.A.E.; is responsible for the Project Management of EAST GAS CO. PROJECT; ELARISH - TABA PIPELINE ( 248 km pipeline ).
Project spanned the construction activities for ELARISH - TABA PIPELINE with 248 km including 10 huge block valves complete with Hydrotest and SCADA system.Total project value is $ 17.3 millions + LE125.0 millions
Duties:
1. Planning and Monitoring the Overall Project Scheduling of the 36" Gas Pipeline;From Arish to Aqapa activities, onshore and offshore, and the SCADA system and coordinating the contractor's schedules to ensure that plans are followed .
2. Review and approve the progressed weight of the Lump Sump Project, Producing barcharts for all levels required and s-curves, closely monitoring the contractor's resources using P3 ver.3.0.
3. Evaluate the Contractor's Progress Weekly and Monthly reports and approve such progress based on the established relative weights and Physical Progress.
4. Guiding and reviewing the contractor's daily, weekly, and monthly site Records for the construction activities, and Manpower.
5. Coordinate with all disciplines to review drawings, materials arrival and long lead items schedules, which meet the master construction schedule.

ABB Petroleum Technology S.A.E.; as a main contractor; is responsible for the construction of ALEXANDRIA ADDITIVES BLENDING PLANT for Alexandria Company for Petroleum Additives ( ACPA ) . Project was partially supervised by ENPPI .
Project spanned the EPC activities for Additives Blending Plant containing 28 tanks, 1650 m3 Fire Fighting tank Station, process and utility buildings as well as Full Storage Drum Bldg., Electrical Substation and Control Building, and Extensive Mechanical & Piping and Electrical works.Total project price is $ 12.2 millions
Duties:
1. Planning and monitoring Scheduling of the civil, mechanical, electrical works and instrument concerning engineering, procuremnt, construction and start up, producing barcharts for all levels required and s-curves, manpower histogram, scheduling and leveling the resources using P3 ver.3.0, producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for progress containing overall s-curves, remaining manpower histogram, tables for monitoring the progress using Excel productivity report and three monthly lookahead schedule, etc..
2. Monthly Evaluate the Progress Invoice Payment and Obtain approvals from Client for all Project activities ( Engineering, Procurement, Construction ).
3. Guiding subcontractors, Daily site Records for construction activities, and Manpower.
DAELIM Engineers & Constructors; one of the biggest Korean Contractors investing in Egypt; is responsible for the construction of MIDOR REFINARY PROJECT. Project is being supervised by TECHNIP(TTIL- SNC);(MAIN CONTRACTOR ) .
Project spanned the construction activities for Midor Refinary- one of the biggest Refinaries in the Middle East, containing 15 Refinary Units, utility buildings, 6 Electrical Substations and Control Buildings, and Extensive Earth working, Mechanical & Piping and Electrical works, with a total price of $ 80 millions.
Duties:
1. Monthly Evaluate the Progress Invoice Payment and Obtain approvals for all construction activities.
2. Take off of materials for Civil Works and Preparation of monthly invoices .
3. Take off of materials for Under Ground Works ( Piping, Electrical .., etc. ) and Preparation of monthly invoices .
4. Preparation of the Cost control reports submitted to Head Office.
5. Preparation of Numerous required reports submitted to the Client.
AFRICAN CONSULTANT OFFICE - ACO; one of the biggest consultant offices on Egypt, and over control a lot of projects within Alexandria region. I have been doing Cost Evaluation of huge Tourestic Villages ( MENA 4 & 3 ); then I held the position of Project Engineer of big Industrial warehouse project for Amreyia Pharm. Industrial Company . During this time I completed Phase I of the project on the scheduled time . I was responsible for the followings:-

HOCHTIEF; A huge German Organization, and has participation all over the world is in charge of execution of a Decontamination project for MISR CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES ( MCI ); at El Max under the supervision of Dames & Moore International / Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency ( EEAA ).
The project has involved several activities to remove all Mercury contaminated items from MCI site, pressure - clean the concrete surfaces; followed by pressure - cleaning of all mercury contaminated process units, two Cell Houses to be dismantled and demolished. The project has also involved the construction of Landfill site in Alam Al Afrag area near Burg El Arab to permanently bury the contaminated materials. Several facilities had to be constructed on site for service purposes including; Personnel Decontamination Unit, Waste water treatment plant, and others.
Duties:-
1. As the scheduler :- Responsible for building the project schedule of all activities; including updating, claims, and cost analysis & budget control.
2. As the Project Engineer :- Responsible for the quality control & supervision of all work activities to ensure that specifications are met .

" - Subsidiary of Day & Zimmermann , Inc. - is an American company in charge of a U.S. aid project No. \[ 263-0194.02 \], of an amount $ 36 millions- for the " EGYPTIAN ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY - EEA" . The project name is " ALEX. REGIONAL CONTROL CENTER " ( ARCC) and it is administrated by " THE KULJIAN CORPORATION " AND " ECC, INC." .
The project spanned the activities for 52 remote sites in different areas of ALEXANDRIA, besides the Main Control Center in MOHARAM BEK area using SCADA system to control all the S/S & Power Station at the Northern area ( from Marsa Matrouh to Alex. ) .
Duties:
I was responsible for the project schedule of (1800) activities, prepare all types of reports including graphic and tabular reports which become part of the project file. Assign codes and resources for the project activities and for the subcontractors activities.
( P.D.S), the main subcontractor for an American company;
( ENCORP INTERNATIONAL, INC. ) in charge of construction of :-
(INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE FACILITY - TORPEDO DEPOT ) for the Egyptian Navy, as a project " from the ground up ".
The contract is administrated by U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS. U.S.AID Contract No. ( DACA -78 - 92 -C- 0058 ).
Project included welding and piling operation, concrete works, reinforced masonry block work and steel erection of four (4) buildings, Maintenance Building, Fuel storage Building, Torpedo Building + bolted water tank of 30 ft height and demolition of existing structures and rehabilitation of others .

I was responsible for the supervision of all Civil work activities and assure full compliance with C.O.E. specifications, shop drawings and preparatory meetings, working closely with my construction team to ensure that plans are followed, quality up held and correct procedures and materials used.
