2- Alsoug Al-Markazi Overpass:
The structure provides grade separation at Alsoug Al-Markazi intersection - Africa Street. The bridge
comprises four spans of precast concrete beams, supported by concrete piers and end abutments.
The foundation is bored-cast insitu piles.

3- Karakon-Hamashkriab Road:
Karakon-Hamashkriab project consists of five concrete bridges ranging from 32m to 150m in length; the structural form is an integral abutment and wall piers with a voided slab superstructure. My
contribution was providing the client with the schematic design, peer review and seismic design. The
bridges reviewed in accordance with structural Eurocode, and designed for seismic action as the site
located in active zone.

4- Tuti Suspension Bridge:
Tuti Bridge was constructed as part of the ministry of infrastructures plans to modernize the road
network through a system of new bridges passing via Tuti Island to take traffic from Khartoum to
Omdurman and Khartoum North. The aim is to relieve traffic congestion in the capital as well as aid the residents of Tuti Island with their daily commuting as their only way of transportation was via barge and
ferry. The bridge is a 210m suspension spanning the Blue Nile with two 50m steel bridges on each
approach, and utilizing innovative shear pin concept for the anchorage system.
