•Member of Engineering Division(Network Capacity & Facility Planning Unit ) to be :
oResponsible for Capacity of the links and the devices (Routers, Switches and DSLAMS in the whole Network.
oTest any new technology along with network planning team to report its reflection on network capacity upgrade.
oRun weekly and monthly capacity reports to track actual and forecasted utilization.
oIdentify the need for network upgrades based on changes in network utilization, and work with networks engineers to generate designs and project proposals to address upgrade requirements.
oGenerate monthly Network Capacity Dashboard reports for Middle management
oResponsible for Maintain network capacity and performance analysis for network to ensure proper sizing for network connections.
oCo-operate with Network planning team and provisioning to make the best modeling of TEData network and new solutions for creating standard design templates.
oSimulate different protection & failure scenarios to calculate required BW to maintain the service level & QoS.
oTest any new technology along with network planning team to report its reflection on network capacity upgrade.
oResponsible for preparation of installing all new devices (Routers, Switches and DSLAMS)
•Long Term Network Capacity Planning :
oCreate and maintain a strategic network capacity plan for each market based on demand growth forecasts. The strategic plan for each market will improve our ability to provide a rapid response to service inquiries, to maximize fiber conversion opportunities and to minimize RF upgrades. The plan will take into account a number of factors including current utilization, link capacity and the impact of various demand growth scenarios.
oDevelop tactical fiber-conversion and topology evolution plans for each market based on the strategic network capacity plan.
oWork with finance to develop financial models to drive rational decision making around fiber conversions and capacity upgrades.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
• Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.
• Plan, budget and implement IT systems and software.
• Recommend or perform remedial actions to correct IT related problems.
• Replace defective or inadequate hardware and software packages.
• Provide updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
• Coordinate activities with help desk staff or other third party information systems groups.
• Monitoring and administrating all servers and network equipment's in head office.
