Following are the major responsibilities, but not limited to.
•To ensure safety standards and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with contract requirements and Company guidelines.
•Chair Pre-Inspection Meetings and other meetings as required.
•To liaise with clients, and others as relevant, in the determination of inspection stages and requirements.
•To provide as required technical input into quotations.
•To visit manufacturers, suppliers, installers and others as necessary to perform or witness the required inspections(Initial Inspection, In-progress Inspection, Final Inspection, etc.) as perITP.
•Review of purchase order (PO) to verify completeness.
•Strict follow-up of the implementation of approved inspection test plan (ITP)
•Strict follow-up of Saudi Aramco Standards and specification.
•Follow-up the material receiving, coating application/material storage/handling and shipment approved procedure.
•Verify the Traceability of incoming material.
•Review of incoming material test certificates for Garnet/ Metallic Grit. FBE Powder and patching compound.
•Witnessing climatic conditions like air.
•Monitoring the FBE storage Room in order to maintain the temperature and humidly as per Data sheet.
•Witnessing the Air Pressure, Air quality and steel temperature, Relative Humidity & dew point, Steel temperature during Blasting & coating application.
•Ensure the use of correct blasting and Coating materials as per the requirements of Purchase Order, applicable procedure and FBE Powder data sheet.
•Visually inspecting the Abrasives (grit/shot) for any contamination.
•Ensure that correct type of equipment and instruments are used for blasting and coating activities.
•Ensure the use of correct procedure for the FBE Coating applications.
•Witnessing Surface preparation (Profile and cleanliness) as per relevant Codes, Standards & Specification.
•Inspection of FBE coating for DFT, Adhesion & Surface finish.
•Verifying Calibration of Surface Profile Gauge, Coating thickness Gauge and Holiday detector & other instruments.
•Witnessing holiday testing of FBE Coated Surface pipe Spools to ensure that all coating defects are repaired prior to shipment.
•Witnessing Dry Film Thickness of FBE coated Pipe &Spools as per approved Procedure.
•Visually checked the coated surface of the for any coating irregularities such as runs, sags, pinholes,
Blisters, etc.
•Witnessing the DSC/Cure check test of FBE coated Pipes and Spools.
•Witnessing the Identification marking and tagging of coated Spools
•Witnessing the Flexibility of the FBE coating and for any cracks or holidays after bending the mandrel as per the
Specification.
•Prepare & issue of NCR in case of any Non-conformities observed at Vendor or sub-vender premises.
•Ensure all NCR's are closed prior to shipment of particular items.

PERIOD

Project: WASIT offshore and onshore project

Duties &Responsibilities:
Following are the major responsibilities, but not limited to.
•Painting/coating inspection of steel structural works offshore facilities (Jackets and Decks, piping, vessels).
•Responsible for stage wise painting/coating inspection.
•Conduct pre-coating inspection for structural steel and identify any mechanical defects or any oil and grease, initiate for mechanical release.
•Responsible for raising all necessary RFI required by the Client prior to completion of each task, get approval after inspection, keep record and Documentation.
•Responsible for maintaining the records for atmospheric conditions i.e. relative humidity, dew point, steel temperature, ambient temperature, difference between steel temperature and dew point.
•Responsible for the proper implementation of all safety rules and regulations while job is on progress.
•Monitor the daily working activities at site and advise accordingly.
•Maintain Log Book Entry against production for any activity or product which violate Aramco standard or specification.
•Attend weekly QC and safety meeting with the client, ensure any recommendation or proposals implemented at site.
•Ensure any blasting or painting for any object is according to ARAMCO APCS.
•Undertake QC painting Inspection activities in the work place on daily basis as per following:

Inspection for Blasting & Painting application:
•Witness blotter test to ensure compressed air free from water or any contaminants, check blasting pressure (90 psi), check weather condition, ensure abrasive used is approved as per project specification, all this before blasting activity start. Also confirm that all safety requirements meet.
•Before Painting application (check: weather condition, surface preparation, cleanliness degree, surface roughness, blasting grade, salt contamination measurement, surface defects, blasting abrasives )
•During Painting application (check: weathering conditions, Steel temperature, WFT, multi component mixing ratio, painting tools, thinning, application technique, no partial mixing, all material under shelf life)
•After Painting application (check: DFT, adhesion, holidays, drying, and paint defects, mark any defects for repair)
•Check calibration certificate for all painting inspection equipment.
•Ensure Painters & Blasters are qualified and approved by Aramco.
•Check the repair & touch up and marking the defect.
•Review and fill all Saudi Aramco Inspection Checklist reports (SAICs) during and after surface preparation and painting application, signed it and submit to client, filling of the check list according to Aramco specification, standards as well as international standard.
•Execute painting inspection as per Aramco project inspection test plan (ITP)
•To check and monitor all painting related work and ensure all final products meet Aramco procedure, requirement and international codes.
•Responsible for incoming painting and abrasive material inspection and ensure whether these material suits to meet the requirements of project specifications.
•Review certificates for raw material (abrasives, coating material) including chemical analysis report for abrasives showing contents of chlorides, sulphates, carbonates
•Prepare all necessary QA/QC documents and handed to client for review.

•Review and follow up the calibration status for all equipment and measurement devices related to QC.

COATING PRODUCTION ENGINEER at ARABIAN PIPECOATING COMPANY

  • December 2011 to January 2014

Following are the major responsibilities, but not limited to.
•Monitor coating application and ensure all parameters within specification and standards, ensure production operation parameters as per procedures, PCI, client specification, (Aramco Specification& other clients).and as per coating material manufacturer recommendation.
•Ensure all quality control activities are performed in accordance with relevant ITP, QCP, WPS, applicable codes and project specifications.
•Identify with QC coating defects, troubleshoot with superintendent and propose solution to overcome coating defect.
•Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all coating plants, &Job Safety Practice (JSP) for employees.
•Review with QC Coating process control instruction (PCI).
•Reviewing painting specifications, technical & safety data sheets, blasting and painting procedures
•Following with supervisors to ensure coating performed as per process instruction and SOP, and customer specification, requirement.
•Follow up with QC all coating parameters including surface preparation (surface profile, Contamination tests), coating, heating and curing (DFT, Holiday testing, Adhesion test, bend test, DSC test) and troubleshoot coating defect, prepare reports with recommendation to eliminate coating defects.
•Identify unsafe operations and practices and report the same to Manager immediately.
•Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production
•Prepare down time report and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce down time.
•Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
•Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
•Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
•Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standard

PRODUCTION OPERATION ENGINEER at WHITE NILE PETROLEUM OPERATING COMPANY

Following are the major responsibilities, but not limited to.
•Provide technical support to production operation at TharJath field including field surface facilities (wells and OGMs) and central processing facilities, identify and rectify process related problems to ensure safe efficient operation according to production operation guideline.
•Monitor the performance of Central Processing Facilities (CPF), utilities and oil recovery system at TharJath field and prepare technical reports.
•Monitor performance and availability of the wells to meet the production goals and targets.
•Ensure all equipment working within design limits to maximize uptime of equipment’s.
•Participate in chemical vendors evaluation during bidding including bottle test at field, review vendors findings reports.
•Closely monitor and evaluate current chemical effectiveness for crude oil processing and produced water treatment, report findings to senor chemist this is through crude BS & W daily analysis and oil content (ppm) for produced water outlet.
•Optimize chemical injection dosage for crude and produced water treatment to ensure export crude BSW within standard limits and produced water oil content (PPM) according to environmental regulation.
•Prepare schedule of pigging operation and follow up the implementation.
•Conduct troubleshooting for produced water treatment system, prepare finding and recommendation, present to management for implementation.
•Propose field improvement plans in central processing facilities and field surface facilities in coordination with other sections in the department to minimize down time
and ensure production target achieved, and company HSE MS implemented in production operation facilities..
•Monitor process parameters on daily basis and analyze process deficiency using RCA, prepare technical advisory in CPF main operation units, utility, and oil recovery system.
•Closely monitor quality of export crude oil from CPF and direct the operation team to take the appropriate actions including the optimization of chemical injection.
•Monitor the effluent discharge water quality from CPF to ensure oil in water content within environmental regulation limit.
•Direct production operation at site to adjust production rate base on downstream requirements and storage tanks level situation.
•Conduct troubleshooting and prepare technical report for any equipment, vessel or pump in CPF not performing as per design or normal operation
•Follow up with maintenance team to ensure the uptime and availability of the equipment’s, instruments. This is to ensure safe work practices in operation units.
•Analyze the well testing data with subsurface group, monitor the performance of the wells and adjust and optimize the daily production rate to ensure production target achieved while maintaining reservoirs.
•Coordinate work over activities with work over and completion engineers for wells interrupted due to subsurface or mechanical problems. This is to ensure availability of wells to achieve the technical potential of the wells and production target accordingly
•Participate in preparing and implementing of performance test program, collecting design data for the equipment’s and compare it with current operation data, analyze the results, prepared findings and recommendation.
•Prepare daily production summary for the managements and partners, highlights main concerns and issues.
•Investigate, identify and propose area of improvement and participate with other disciplines preparation of FIP (Field Improvement Proposal), follow up the progress of the implementation.
•Team member of WNPOC crude evacuation task force team, involved in GNPOC hydraulic study which conducted by PETRONAS at KL, roles were:
•Responsible for collection of the data requested by PETRONAS from GNPOC and WNOPOC to conduct the study
•Follow up the study in KL office to review and confirm the accuracy of the data used by PCSB.

•Participate in preparation of tender document, answering bidder's queries, include identifying requirements, carrying out technical and commercial evaluation of bids and recommending successful bidder and present to tender committee (management).
•Participate in WNPOC situational assessment including regular meetings and RCPS sessions with PETRONAS OPI team, participate in preparation of findings, way forward and recommendations to close WNPOC performance and cost gaps.
•Cascade and facilitate OPI sessions (2 modules) to WNPOC staff to increase the awareness of OPI program and methodologies in the company including RCPS method, and other OPI tools.
•Coordinate, facilitate meetings and RCPS sessions for the Proposal For Improvements (PFI) team, prepare regular updates, findings and intervention solutions and present to management for the implementation through line departments.
•Participate in HAZOP study for new field projects.
