I Joined Giza Systems ( T&D Line-of-business ) as a technical lead Civil Engineer, with the responsibility to provide technical civil guidance for the LoB to ensure a quality service and smooth operation in a cost-effective way.
• Prepare Technical Reports and Calculation Sheets.
• Prepare Civil and Architectural drawings for the substations.
• Study Tenders and Prepare Estimated BOQ.
• Revise and Evaluate sub-contractors offers.
• Review all civil technical project documents, drawings and calculation sheets.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Handle clients issues and queries.
The work involves preparing and reviewing - and not limited to - the following:
Assign and Follow-up tasks related to the Civil Engineering Design Department.
Report to Engineering Manager for work status and evaluation of quality and technical evaluation of each team member.
Follow up project time schedule and make continuious improvement and udpates.
Handle client/consultant issues and any related technical meetings.
Ensure the team output (drawings/calculations) quality and reliability.
Ensure that engineering details shown where needed for clarity or where dictated by project specifications.
As a Civil Designer for Electrical Substations (13.8/132/380kV) in KSA.
- The work involves Designing and preparing the Drawings for Electrical Substations Buildings, Foundation for Outdoor Steel Structures, Foundation for Electrical Equipments and Transformers according to the Latest International Codes and Regional Specifications. And PTS (Project Technical Specifications)
- Co-Ordination between different Disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Pre-Cast Vendors and Electrical Equipment Suppliers).
- Also, I was a team member in the Project of the Cochlear Implant Center Project at KFMC King Fahd Medical City.
- July-2011, I was promoted to be KSA Central Region Senior Engineer. In DAR-Engineering regional office in Cairo.
- My task is to review all the Design Team output including All the Calculations, Documents and Drawings, and provide Technical support for team members.
- Prepare Schedules for the required submittals and allocate resources for the all activities.
(As a Contractor Site Engineer for the construction of Al-Fayrouz Factory, The site had both Reinforced Concrete Structure Administration building & Steel Framed Storage Area.)
