• Design review of District cooling Projects and Co-ordination with Sub-Consultant for selection of best equipment to meet the Employer Requirements, Project Budget and Project Time frame.
• Reviewing and reissuing the Project specification issued by our sub designer for EPC Projects to select the best technical specification which will meet our project budget and meet the Employer Requirements.
• Prepare value engineering during the Tender and after the award in co-ordination with the Tender and Project Team.
• Solve all the problems between the Project/Client and the Supplier/Subcontractor to to guarantee smooth process for approval of submittals and delivery of the equipment’s.
• Responsible for obtaining all information and approvals required from the Client/Consultant.
• Work closely with the Project control department team (PCD) to issue the Project forecast Review (PFR) and to maintain a positive Cash Flow during the project.
• Managing the Mechanical team to provide guidance and information for all procurement activities such as:
• Vendor’s pre-qualifications and performance during the Projects.
Technical and commercial Negotiations for all Purchase order (Local and International) and sub-contracts.
• Material Logistics & Expediting (Local & International).
• Material Inspection (Local & International).
• Prepare the Project procurement plan.
• Project Daily Material Requisitions.
• Study & review tender contract documents, analyzing tender requirements & specifications.
• Procurement of all Mechanical components (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and System Packages).
• Responsible for the Equipment preservation activities.
• Work closely with the QC team to ensure the Inspection Test Plan is done as per the company procedure and the Project Specifications.
• Assist the Operation (Projects) to Implement Successfully the Project’s Execution Plan (P.E.P.) Within the Time Schedule, Budget and Contractual Obligations.
• Managing the Mechanical team to provide guidance and information for all Technical office activities such as:
• Design Review
• Shop Drawings and Composite Preparation.
• Equipment schedule preparation
• Handling of Technical & Formal Correspondences.
• Coordination with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, and Electrical).
• Perform all HVAC calculations and Equipment’s Selections (Cooling Load, Duct Sizing, Pipe Sizing, Chillers, Cooling towers, Fans, Pumps, AHU, and VAVs’. Duct Heaters, BMS, ….).
• Preparation of bill of Material as per the Approved drawings and Material Submittals
• Float RFQ to the supplier, review and select the best technical and commercial supplier
• Preparation value engineering for awarded projects.
• Handle procurement activities relating to contracts and sub contracts in accordance with Company’s Procedures and Procurement department activities.
• Vendor’s pre-qualifications and performance during the Projects.
• Technical and commercial Negotiations for all Purchase order (Local and International) and sub-contracts.
• Material Logistics & Expediting (Local & International).
• Assistance to site engineers in Installation, testing, commissioning, balancing & handing over the job to client.
• Monitor and control expenses related to project work and ensure organizational forecasts and budgets are met for these expenses.
• Act as a liaison with contractors and clients managing any work interfaces and enhancements to project scope.
• Review and evaluate technical submittals and shop drawings prior to submission to consultants and clients according to required project standards.
• Preparation of shop drawing.
• Assist tender department in the establishing the Bill of Material, Specification Review, Technical and commercial offers review during tender stage and preparation the price comparison.
• Manage a team of draftsmen to prepare shop and Composite drawings.
• Preparation of Builder Work Drawings to allow for the fabrication of Precast Walls.
• Co-ordination with the Interior Designer and redesign the HVAC system to allow for more space to accommodate the MEP service in the Limited False ceiling Height-ordinate with the Civil Team for the Concrete Openings.
• Coordination with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, and Electrical).
• Issue RFI to the consultant to highlight the design problems and propose different solutions which meet the standards and Project contract.
• Selection of Materials and preparation of all mechanical material submittals and making sure to comply with the project specifications.
• Perform Quantity takeoffs for all mechanical equipment and materials, prepare RFQs and coordinate with procurement department in resolving any technical issues till finalizing the order.
• Following up with suppliers for deliveries to ensure materials arrive to site on time to avoid any delays.
• Planning and scheduling all mechanical related site works to meet agreed deadlines and milestones.
• Supervise all site works through General Foreman and Supervisors and ensuring all works are done as per approved IFC drawings and to the client satisfaction.
• Coordination between all activities to resolve any conflicts by offering solutions, and taking decisions.
• Resolve any technical difficulties and any problems arising on site anytime and coordination for storage of materials.
• Supervise/monitor all Subcontractor works and to make sure the work is complying with project specification approved construction drawings and standards.
• Contributing in contractor’s shop drawings meetings and coordination with consultants
• Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensure that regulations are adhered to.
• Preparation of project execution plan clearing project activity duration and sequences.
• Preparing work packages with all design documentation and method of statement for work Permits approval.
• Installation of all HVAC systems such as Chillers, Pumps, AHU’s FCU’s, Fans, Expanison Tanks, Gi Ducts, …..
• Preparation of cooling Load Calculation using E20-II
• Design of Air Distribution System and selection of Air Terminals such as diffusers, air grills.
• Design of air duct system using ductlator
• Design of chilled and condenser water system.
• Preparation of workshop and builder work drawings
• Preparation of the material submittal
• Preparation the material B.O.Q
• Co-ordination with other trades (Fire Fighting, Electrical, Plumbing, Structure and Interior).
