The purpose of my position is the execution of Panalpina’s corporate product strategy and is accountable for the Profit & Loss performance as well as operational performance of Energy & Project Solutions in country.
Ensure profitable growth, customer satisfaction, employee development and leadership, business development and customer retention.
Leading Full team of 8 colleagues as follows:
3 operation (export, Import and documentation) + 2 customs brokers+ 2 inland transport delegates+ 1 port duties employee
Responsibilities
- Responsibility of Country (Egypt) Project logistic solutions, Oil&Gas Solutions Department
- Responsible for department quarter and annual budgeting and profitability plan/report
- Functional responsible for Country Energy Solutions team (8 employee)
- Strategy development and execution as well as operational set up aligned with corporate management.
- Follow up Oil&Gas market status, exploration and tenders and government regulation
- P&L responsibility for the Energy & project Solutions product in Egypt
- Set and measure objectives as well as KPI’s for department team in country
- Drive performance on all levels to achieve objectives and KPI
- Using the matrix and other product such as Sea freight & Airfreight to support Energy Project logistic Solutions within the country when needed
- Ensure quality in all aspects like, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction and employee management
- Ownership of process development and optimization in coordination with Project logistic Solutions Standards and Governance aligned with core product Standards and Governance
- Drive productivity through processes and standardization to achieve a high performing organization
- Attend Country Management Meetings and promote Panalpina at external and internal events
- Planning and managing projects (Initiate, Plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects)
- Subcontractor management, selection, evaluating, compliance, tendering and measuring performance
- Heavy lift transport recognizing planning, budgeting, pricing and implementing
- Leading the team, directing reports, defining KPIs and monitoring performance
- Recognize talent by advising, coaching, motivating and empowering the team
- Focus on customer service as a core value, increasing operational efficiency and setting and monitoring high standards of quality while taking necessary steps to retain and improve \ customer relationships
- Drive QHSE within the organization, ensuring a continuous improvement of the QHSE management system.

- Successfully executed 2 complex petroleum projects - 2016/2017 ( Elamal Petroleum offshore
- Rig site - Aquatera onshore/offshore pipeline)
- Successfully Executed EPC Project ( Petrochemical plant: Ethidco plant)- 2016/2017
- Shortlisted for the 3 major Siemens power plant projects in Egypt ( Borulus - New capital - Bani Swaif )
- Achieved annual targets, increased profits and under budgeting for 2 continuance years
- Logistics Service Contracted with 2 major Petroleum global companies (Halliburton- Baker Huge) in 2016 (3 years contract)
- Logistics service contracted with two major global energy company (ABB - Alstom) 2016/2017
- Executed 5 over size transport projects
Management Achievement
- Updated the Projects Management Standard operation procedures and reporting system
- Established the Documentation forms for Projects approval, proposal, planning, budgeting and pricing calculations
- Built approved Vendors list upon evaluating top 5 subcontractor specialized in heavy transport and special equipment in Egyptian market including database for the specifications for all owned equipment and trailers
- Finished registration process for top 10 Global Petroleum companies
