Job Responsibly:
CSC have two active-active DataCenter, my responsibility
Operate and Maintain the VMware Infrastructure based on HP Blade Hardware and vSphere (6.0, 6.5 )
- Install, configure and administer vCenter, VMware servers and clusters infrastructure.
- install, configure and administer Virtual machines.
- Identify, diagnose and debug problems related to the VMware system, as well as assess, review and validate components,
- Install upgrades and patches for all ESXI Hosts
- Configure and administrate VMware Horizon View
- Configure and administrate HP Blade Servers, HP Rack mounted Servers.
• Operate and Maintain the Storage Area Network Infrastructure based on HP Storages (EVA & 3PAR) and EMC (VMAX3, VNX)
- Configure and administrate the Storage Area Network.
- Create New LUN and present it to ESXI Hosts.
- Work with SAN Switches create Zoning.
- Identify, diagnose and debug problems related to the Storage Area Network as well as assess, review and validate components upgrades.
- Monitor the storage performance, usage and allocated storage space upon request.
• Contribute to the Operation of the Backup System based on EMC (Avamar, Data Domain)
- Ensure successful completion of backup jobs for all VMware environment.
- Perform regular data and systems restore tests.
- Restore data and systems upon request.
• Perform Daily Monitor for all DataCenter components
- Physical Check make sure all components operate in normal.
- with Monitoring tool " SolarWind " monitor each component of DataCenter and all the Visualization infrastructure include also level of operating Systems and Database .
- Communicated with Vendors and open Support cases if any issue
