Leading the estimation department consisting a team of five (5) numbers of Quantity Surveyors and one (1) Secretary. Involving in A to Z of tender submission activities including receiving and studying the documents, checking and reviewing Tender conditions, Specifications, Drawings and Bill of Quantities. Liaisoning with the Client, Consultants, Suppliers and Sub contractors. Visiting the site for physical verification of the site conditions, Pricing the Project using computer application software (CCS Candy). Submitting the tenders ensuring to incorporate all formalities and necessary documents. Attending the meeting with the Clients/ Sub contractors.
Worked on Offshore/ Onshore, Oil & Gas, Industrial/Residential/Commercial, Government/Public/Private Building and Infra structure Projects costing up to 1.0 Billion Qatar Riyal.
Worked in the Estimation & Tendering department and involved in all the procedures from receiving to submittal of the tender documents including dealing with suppliers and subcontractors, checking Project Specifications, Drawings and bills of quantities, pricing the projects using CCS Candy software etc.
Involved in projects costing more than 10 Billion AED, such as high rise buildings, labour camps, housing and commercial buildings etc.
Worked in the site and involved in the preparation of Progress payment and Sub contractor’s bills, Variation orders, Escalation Statements, Cost Control monitoring, Liaison with Site Engineers, Suppliers, Sub contractors & Consultants, Preparation of Progress Reports, Coordinating with Material/ Planning/ QA/QC Engineers for optimum utilization of materials and equipments on site and watch on the progress of the work against contract program etc.
Worked in various offices of BSNL and positions as a part of CONSULTANT & CLIENT and Involved in the preparation of estimates and all related documents for tendering processes up to the award of the works including pricing, Review of design and drawings, Valuation and Billing of executed works, Preparation and review of variation orders, Escalation Statements, Coordinating with other departments to monitor the actual progress of the works against the contract schedule, Optimum utilization of the materials and equipments, Fair rent assessment of buildings etc.
Involved in the projects such as Construction of Telephone Exchange Buildings, Satellite Earth-stations, Administrative buildings, Staff quarters, Communication Towers, Underground Cable ducts and Maintenance of the above.
Involved in the offshore construction activities in Lakshadweep Islands for five years from April 1997 to April 2002. Job included monitoring and controlling Procurement and Logistic activities on behalf of the Consultant and Client (BSNL).
Master of Business Administration
This is an advance course in Quantity Surveying and Valuation. Duration was one year. This was a distant learning with a number of contact classes.
