• Working as an I&C engineer construction, commissioning and startup engineer in PGESCo since January 2013.
• PGESCo is a power plant engineering construction consultant, it provides Construction management, technical supervision, and consultancy and engineering services for the construction, commissioning and startup phases of the power plants on behalf of EDEPC (East delta electricity production Company) for this project until the project Turn over to the owner.
• In addition to my normal I&C responsibilities I’m also responsible for some extra electrical responsibilites such as :
o Supervising all the cable pulling and termination onsite
o Witnessing and approving the cables and switchgear testing onsite.
o Supervising and approving the construction of the grounding grid onsite.
o Receiving and approving that all the materials that will be used for the electrical construction on site are as per contract specifications
• As an I&C engineer my main responsibilities are :
o Supervise the contractors in the site to make sure that all the construction procedures are as per contract specifications and as per P&ID.
o Receive the materials to be installed in the site and check for their compliance with the technical specifications.
o Checking the calibration of all the instruments to be installed on site.
o Assist in solving the construction and commissioning problems on site.
o Witness and approving all the loop checking, calibration and pre-commissioning tests
o Preparing punch lists, surveillance notices, non-conformance reports and correspondence letters.
o Inspecting, witnessing and approving the commissioning of all the instrumentation and control systems in the project.
o Coordination with different contractors onsite in order to avoid all the possible problems
o Performing function tests and other commissioning activities
o Revising and approving turn over packages and invoices
I&C construction, commissioning and start up engineer in Banha combined cycle power plant
providing technical supervision, consultancy and engineering services for the construction, commissioning and startup phases of the power plants.
o Supervise the instrumentation and control systems construction contractors in the site to make sure that all the construction procedures are as per contract specifications and as per P&ID.
o Receive the materials to be installed in the site and check for their technical specifications and quality.
o Checking the calibration of all the instruments to be installed on site.
o assist in solving the construction problems on site
o preparing punch lists and non conformance reports
o Inspecting the installed equipment and the finished I&C systems installed ( PLCs, pneumatic valves, fire alarm and detection systems, etc .. ).
o Receiving, supervising the installation, inspecting and observing the commissioning of the plant’s DCS (Yokogawa Centum CS3000/VP) and the gas Turbines control systems (GE MARK VIe)
o Witness all the loop checking and pre-commissioning tests
o Supervise, Witness and approve the commissioning and start-up phase tests and procedures.
o Reviewing and approving TurnOver packages, Construction Completion certificates and test procedures.
• Working as an I&C engineer since april 2010.
• The job's main goal is to keep the power plant online and working as efficient as possible, It includes working in teams and solo under different authorities, coordinating with different departments to keep the power plant units up and running as efficient as possible -through periodic maintenance and emergency interventions- to make sure that all the units' auxiliaries and main equipment are functioning as they should.
• As an I&C engineer I have to maintain the stability and the functionality of the Control systems of the various equipments in the power plant .
• The job also has a changing working hours due to the shift system.
• The job's main goal is to keep the power plant online and working as efficient as possible, It includes working in teams and solo under different authorities, coordinating with different departments and guiding them and interacting with different equipments, pinpointing problems and troubleshooting them .
• As an operation engineer, I work as a field Engineer who reacts directly with the machines and equipment within the power plant and also act with the other departments directly.
• As an operation engineer i work also as an operator using state of the art DCS systems to operate and maintain my unit in service and online as efficient as possible .
• The job also has a changing working hours due to the shift system.
• During the 15th Ismailia international folklore festival i was a guide to the Romanian folklore band " Crisana " through the period from the 28th of july untill the 10th of august.
• The job included dealing with different nationalities and under different authorities, coordinating with them and different work teams and leading the group to ensure that everything works smoothly and as planned, with working hours ranging between 16 to 18 hours daily .
• Graduation project : electrification of a tourist village (merit : excellent)
