Ensure that all activities on the site are carried out in a safe manner and in adherence to the Company safety policy.
- Ensure that all safety systems and equipment are in place, fully operational and correctly serviced (e.g. station bills, firefighting systems, signs etc.).
- Administer, monitor and audit the permit to work system.
- Conducts safety meetings and evaluate the safety aspects of proposed activities, also record any concerns raised at this pre job safety meetings.
- Liaises with each Department Leader on a weekly basis for all matters relating to health and safety.
- Take part in all accident/incident/near miss investigations relating to any related incident.
- Carry out any in-house safety related training;
- Ensure that any learning points are communicated to line management and the workforce.
- General policing of work sites.
- Implementation of any safety related procedures or safety awareness campaigns.
- Preparation of Job Hazard Analysis in conjunction with the Supervisor.
- Ensure that information on the handling of substances and the precaution to be taken is made available to all users of the materials including MSDS.
- Inspection of PPE supplied for all activities.
- Conduct the induction training of the personnel.Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements
• Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.

Terminal Service duty Engineer (Shift leader) at Suez canal container terminal MAersk (APMT)

-Main scope is troubleshooter for RO Water treatment plant and responsible for Water sampling and analysis by leading teams of 6 lab chemists /techs.

- produced water quality is according to WHO standards to achieve 1st world safety standards
- giving a hand with electrical / mechanical Teams specially mechanics,
Maintain Mechanical items related to terminal service systems & buildings: Fuel Station, Sewage System, Potable water system, fire fighting systems, Pumps, air compressors Workshop equipments and tools, Air Conditions, HVAC Systems (Chillers, AHU’s, FCU’s and Chilled water systems).
-Maintain electrical items related to terminal services: Medium Voltage Stations, Substations, Power Transformers, Low Voltage Panels, Lighting & Light High Masts, Communications and Security systems.
-Ensure that Subcontractors perform according to contractual obligations with SCCT.
-Planning, Organization and control the maintenance of all services systems in coordination with Electrical and Civil Engineers and governments authorities.
-Propose the necessary training to upgrade the staff skills.
-To prepare the regular and necessary reports to the Engineering Manager.
-Coordinate with Planning MNG and ENG to set the maintenance/repair plan.
-Perform other duties as requested by the direct Senior/MNG.
-Fully Comply with HSSE Policies, departmental SOP’s.
-Promote a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards.
-Take diligent care of all SCCT property and materials.
-Actively participate in relevant SCCT, ENG and HSSE process improvement initiatives.
-Ensure that all subordinates thoroughly understand all relevant work procedures.
-Ensure that all Subordinates fully understand and comply with all SCCT, ENG and HSSE SOP’s.
-Personally visit at regular intervals work site where the subordinates are working.
-Ensure proper communication channels are established for each work group.
