The Sheikh Jaber Causeway Project (Main Link) / RA140 is one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Middle East, with a total length of 36.14 km and is one of the longest off-shore bridges in the World. The project will connect Shuwaikh Port to Subiyah highway at New Subiyah City. The main bridge is 120m long and have a 23m high navigation clearance for crossing of vessels to Doha port.
The project includes two artificial Islands (Bay Island North & South). A number of authority buildings will be constructed within a “Government Enclave” located on the Islands.

JAHRA ROAD (RA/166) Value=KD265 millions Package 1 (RA/166) involves the upgrading of the existing Jahra Road together with the Upgrading of associated sanitary, storm water drains and other services in the Contract area. The location of the upgrading works is at the western edge of Kuwait City and the upgrading extends from Jahra Gate to the United Nations Roundabout following a south-eastern to northwestern alignment. The upgraded Jahra Road will be carried on a new pre-cast segmental viaduct, approximately 7.2 km long . The Contract package also contains one 620 meter long section of depressed road which will have two roundabout bridges to service the local traffic. The elevated Jahra Road dual carriageway will generally be supported by piled foundations with single piers. The Jahra Road viaduct is typically six to eight lanes wide and the access ramps, of precast segmental construction are either one or two lanes wide. The link road viaducts, of precast segmental construction, vary in width from four lanes to six lanes. New at-grade service roads, generally of twin three lane configuration, will be located either alongside or underneath of the elevated mainline roadway. There are a multitude of utilities and drainage structures along the length of the project route which will require relocation, protection, and refurbishment. The depressed road section will have a pumping station, discharging rainwater into the storm water drainage system.
