- Review engineering deliverables like P&IDs, PFDs, Schematics, Cause & Effect diagrams, Logic diagrams,
Specifications, Datasheets, Equipment lists, BOMs, material take-offs etc.
- Project Scheduling, and allocation of activities based on requirements.
- Construction Supervision of Instrumentation related works specific to Batinah Reinforcement Project.
- Act as client representative and liaise between the contractor and the end-user for SCADA Activities.
- Review engineering deliverables like P&IDs, PFDs, Schematics, Cause & Effect diagrams, Logic diagrams, Specifications, Datasheets, Equipment lists, BOMs, material take-offs Subcontracts, etc.
- Raise brownfield modification requests, and provide clarifications associated with the modifications.
- Review Asset health on a periodic basis, generate asset health report and suggest remedial measures for deteriorating asset performance. Optimize and develop lifecycle plan for multiple DCS and PLC control systems across assets.
- Establish and maintain instrument calibration program beginning at the project stage, including the calibration and PM database.
- Support equipment installations/upgrades by ensuring design-for-maintainability and reliability are incorporated into projects.
- Contribute to the development of Reliability Control Plans for several equipment classes to drive long-term improvements in safety, environmental, and operational performance.
- Develop Front End documents like Projects interface philosophy, Projects tie-In philosophy, Plant C&A philosophy, Metering philosophy, F&G philosophy etc.
- Participate in workshops like Design review workshop, HAZOP, HAZID, ALARP workshops, Desktop review workshop, Project risks review workshop, Concept selection workshop, SIL determination workshop, F&G mapping study, Concept study, Engineering suitability study, Technical Integrity study etc.
- Engineering, selection & commissioning of DCS, SCADA, F&G, ESD systems, by various vendors, based on SIL requirements and Facilities design requirements.
- Contribute to periodic review and development of existing Company Standards, Specifications, Procedures, and Guidelines.
- Act as single point engineering coordinator for Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electro-hydraulic, PLC based topside control systems. Review vulnerability and scanning reports and liaise with System Administrators to resolve inconsistencies; assess, remediate, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
•Design of Instrumentation System for measurement of parameters like Flow, Pressure, Level and Temperature.
•Design of Control strategies for various process’ based on client requirements.
•Design of control system architecture for various plants and oil pipelines.
•Design and Selection of various industrial communication protocols like Profibus, HART, M-Bus, OPC, Modbus/TCP-IP, Industrial ethernet etc.
•Design and Selection of ESD system, F&G System based on SIL requirements and Plant Design Requirements.
•Preparation of Interface and Integration Philosophy for integration between different SCADA, DCS systems for an efficient and smooth Plant functioning.
•Preparation of P&IDs and PFDs based on process requirements.
•Preparation of Cause and Effect Diagrams based on design requirements.
•Performing sizing calculations for field instrumentation systems such as Control Valves, Safety valves, Orifice elements etc.
•Sizing and Selection of Instrumentation Cables.
•Conducting SAT and FAT with various vendors at their in-house testing facilities.
•Knowledge of Installation Standards, Hazardous area classification, NEMA, ISA, IEC Standards.
•Coordinating with Consultants and Clients like Mott MacDonald, Petronas, GAZPROM, Qatar Petroleum, ASTAD, Qatar Foundation etc.
•Preparing/Reviewing material take-offs, Subcontracts, Specification Lists, Datasheets for various field Instruments, as per ISA standard format using Intools software.
•Co-ordinating with Clients and project consultants for assessing any change in requirements or in-house standards.
•Formulating strategies to prepare, control, and optimize project and expedite work status.
• Installation, Calibration and Commissioning of various measurement devices for Flow, Level and Temperature by Flexim, OMEGA, ROCKWIN, E&H, Honeywell, etc.
• Automation of processes using PLCs like Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Omron, GE FANUC etc.
• Erection, Test and Commission of Various PLCs and co-ordinating the function of a PLC through GSM interlinking.
• Knowledge of various industrial communication protocols like Profibus, HART, Modbus/TCP-IP, Industrial ethernet etc.
• Working with ABB AC800M and Honeywell Experion-HC 900 DCS.
• Design, Monitor and Control of various processes through SCADA like WINCC, INTOUCH, X-Designer Plus, Honeywell EBI and Intellution-FIX.
