Ensure seamless progress of electrical design processes, tools and environment.
Define/ implement basis of design to align projects to client vision, standards and objectives, align deliverables to project requirements of clients as well as enhancing client satisfaction by rendering qualitative design delivery.
Ensure interdisciplinary coordination for the target of applying client’s regulations and requirements.
Review all FEED documents, develop and check the complete electrical systems calculation (i.e. Load calculation and Schedules, HV & LV variant Equipment sizing, single line diagrams & risers’ related calculation and illumination calculation) in line with client requirements, international standards and local authorities’ laws.
Review detailed design documents for various electrical and ELV systems (HV/LV SLD, Power, Lighting, Earthing and Lightning, Telecom, ACS, CCTV and F&G).
Assess suppliers’ and subcontractors’ technical bids to ensure compliance with detailed engineering design and latest industry standards. And prepare/ check the related documents (i.e. Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor documents).
Attending Factory Acceptance Test “FAT” at Vendors’ factories and release materials
Prepare pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures related to the electrical systems.
Maintain updated documentation related to lessons learnt and other project specific issues.
Continuous Site support where required.
Prepared and presented various status reports to the senior management to enable effective decision making and progress monitoring.
Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be applied in Heavy Civil project and Oil/Gas projects during EPC.
Installation and Supervision of site installation of the MEP systems (HV/LV Transformers and NER, HV/LV AIS and GIS Switchgears, HV/LV PFCC, Package SS, HV/LV Cables, HV/LV VSD, AC/DC UPS and Batteries, ESCADA, Bus Ducts, Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security, Telecom, PA&GA, AV, Lightning & Earthing, HVAC, Chilled Water, Water & Drainage, Fire Fighting, FM200, LPG, Elevators, BMS, Leak Detection, Helipad Lighting, Window Cleaning System & Irrigation)
Testing & commissioning of all above MEP systems, including but not limited to preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning documentation, approaching related vendors, closing punch items and issuing certificate of job completion.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects in addition to monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and coordinate closely on technical and planning related issues.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
