Job Title : Senior GIS Specialist & GIS Consultant .
Duration: From 15 Sep 2012 to Now.
Location : Jubail - KSA
Job Description :
1) Used GIS Services & programming languages (ASP.Net & Servile Light, XML) to create and design a web site with many features.
2) Collected the data from site and survey.
3) GIS analysis Data processing and Manipulation & Geo-referencing the raster maps.
4) Convert digital data and the raster maps to a block of data stored in the database (Oracle Spatial) for the work of research and geographic analysis.
5) Provide technical consultancy in GIS for Urban Planning department .
6) Providing solutions for all processes associated with GIS through the concept of Business Inelegance .
7) Verification of data quality and surveying works.
8) Develop topological inter-relations of various data types (spatial, attribute) for various applications like land administration, change detection…ect.
9) Organize the workflow to maximize the efficiency of data usage.
10) Train and educate others on the GIS.
11) Data Profiling & Quality Check
12) Manage the Master Data Management.
13) Transformation and double check for geographical coordinates
Assist in the implementation of key strategic policies related to technology.
Operate co-operatively and effectively with colleagues within the IT team and in the business areas that consume GIS resources.
Take an active role within the IT Services Team.
Assist in the implementation and development of key policies or strategies as required by the GIS Team Leader or IT Manager.
Assist in the implementation of corporate projects, as required.
Secure the highest quality services within financial constraints and achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Review regularly and update all GIS Systems policies, procedures and practices.
Work with colleagues within the team to ensure all Uniform application installations and upgrades are completed to a high standard an in a timely manner in line with published SLA’s.
Accept the responsibility of delivering first class GIS systems through the sensible use of the available resources.
Provide the technical resource required to deliver projects requested by the GIS Team Leader.
Work with colleagues to ensure the continuous improvement of IT services.
Maintain system, program and user documentation in an up to date state and in accordance with recognized standards.
Meet the GIS needs of the Council’s staff in an effective, efficient and courteous manner.
Assist with staff training as required.
