• Advise Contractors on HATCH/EGA requirements to ensure Contractors commitment & compliance is in line with HATCH/EGA site specific HSE requirements.
• Conducting all EHS Trainings required for the Project.
• Review Contractors documents such as HSEMS manual, project HSE plan, HSE procedures, HSE performance, emergency procedures, training plan, risk assessments, etc.
• Implement HSE pro-active measures in the project site activities as stated in OSHAD CoP and EGA Green book.
• Assess on construction & installation methods of construction plant & equipment & advice/ensure HSE risks are as Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
• Interview Contractor HSE staff to establish an excellent HSE organization at projects sites.
• Conduct construction related HSE trainings to HATCH/EGA staff to identify site hazards during their job activities at site & report them to HATCH/EGA.
• Develop HSE training Process & initiate all kind of actions for conducting HSE training by Contractor to their project team to ensure project training plan is implemented effectively.
• Conduct formal Site HSE inspections & HSE meetings on weekly basis with Contractor site management & ensure recommended actions are closed by Contactor & reports submitted to HATCH/EGA.
• Coordinate with HATCH/EGA HSE superintendent to ensure that HATCH/EGA HSE requirements & Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved at sites
• Audit Contractor’s project HSE plan, HSE procedures, emergency procedures, training plan, sites activities, PPE compliance at site & submit reports to HATCH/EGA & follow-up on corrective & preventive actions implemented by Contractor.
• Ensure that project HSE programs & procedures are established, implemented, reviewed & improved as needed.
• Investigate accidents, near miss, property loss incidents, environmental related issues, & prepare & submit reports to EGA.
Responsibilities
• Implementing EHS management system and devising guidelines for safety in working environment.
• Reporting to the HSE Manager regarding all matter of safety, Site monitoring, preparing safety returns and assisted in preparation of permits for each work site.
• Responsible for investigation, reporting and suggesting effective control measures of all accidents and incidents
• Establishing and ensuring safe work culture and consistently monitoring to ensure safe working practices and observance of safety procedures.
• Conducting training sessions and special inductions for Engineers, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
• Accountable for the reviewing Method Statement and preparation of Risk Assessments and implementation of Project Specific HSE plan at site.
• Maintain HSE documents as per Project Specific HSE Plan and generating HSE weekly / monthly reports
• Responsible for the evaluation of all plant and heavy equipment’s, lifting gears, power tools and hand tools for ensuring good condition/color coded and removing any defective items from the work site. Ensuring that dangerous materials are correctly stored.
• Coordinating emergency procedures, firefighting and first aid crews.
• Effectively planned HSE Activities at site and conducted HSE Inspections.
• Coordinate with client HSE Team and with site team for the seamless implementation of HSE activities.
• Ensure reduction of accidents and incidents through proper Risk Analysis of various activities along with Site Team.
• Successfully executed Accident Investigations and actively participated in HSE Committee Meetings.
• Organized various HSE Campaigns as per the schedule.
• Played a key role in conducting daily safety inspections, daily tool box meeting and safety briefings.
• Efficiently implemented safety procedures to contract employees.
• Inspected and rectified any unsafe act and unsafe conditions at work place with expertise monitored work permits system.
• Instrumental in conducting Risk Analysis of various activities along with Site Team
• Meticulously maintained records as per Project HSE Plan and Client requirements.
• Successfully motivated work force towards safety education and Established remedial measures at site of work.
• Enforcing existing safety system such as risk assessment, pre- work briefing for each activities and record keeping.
• Implementing and monitoring permit to work system (PTW); carry out periodic assessment and auditing, to ensure the system effectiveness and its fundamental suitability in practice.
• Conducting safety walk round, safety audit, safety inspection and safety training.
• Assist Project HSE Manager to implement HSE Management System.
• Safety Supervision of critical activities as per company HSE management system.
• Conduct training for workers to use various fire extinguishers, PPE’S and other safety topics.
• Inspection and reporting to management regarding any faults and deficiency found on daily basis.
• Ensuring and monitoring Permit to Work system.
• Prepare and maintains various records like PPE’S Checklist, daily and weekly inspections, PTW register, Plant and Equipment, Work Equipment, power tools, ladder, fire extinguisher, first aid boxes, Tool Box Talk, etc
• Safety Induction for all workforces including Visitors, Client & Consultant.
