1. To develop the initial scope of the project in alignment with overall business strategy and direction; define the project approach, estimate time line and resource requirements.
2. To determine the need for external consultants, prepare requests for proposals and evaluate proposal responses; present recommendations to the board for approval on project proposal and budget.
3. Monitor and oversee progress of project, including personal responsibilities; provide guidance to team members to ensure timely and effective project execution.
4. Facilitate experiential learning for junior team members, developing team capabilities through coaching and mentoring activities.
5. Establish and manage relationships with key external parties in order to ensure effective working.
6. Reporting on project progress on an agreed frequency; seek the intervention of director or senior projects manager on critical matters.
7. To study proposals and ideas for business ventures; evaluate and research information to prepare summaries and project scope; prepare appropriate recommendations for the division manager.
8. To work in conjunction with the business development manager/s in the preparation of project related scopes, management procedures and timelines.
