• Analyze and identifying problem areas to resolve and update.
• Technical support for all the depots running the Handheld mobile software application
• Monitoring and analyzing accurate transfer of information from Handheld device to the backend office system.
• Sharing System Backup/Restore plan and procedures in areas of responsibility.
• Maintaining and updating sales history of the customer database to the Handheld Computers.
• Setting up System Security: -
Setup User types like Super User, Data Entry Operator, and Supervisor.
Setup User names and Passwords.
Assigning users to forms / windows
• Troubleshooting the communication status between the Handheld Computers and the PCs running
software by monitoring the screens on a daily basis
• Providing technical support via helpdesk systems for a wide range of internal & external applications.
Monitoring the performance of the system’s network and their devices using IPSWITCH WhatsUpGold
and PRTG Network Traffic Grapher
• Performing regular Backups for the following:- CheckPoint Firewall, Cisco and Brocade/Foundry
Switches, Billing System - Application and Database Servers, Microtik Access Point, BRAS and DSLAM.
• Configuring and Maintaining Cisco Routers and Switches
• Producing documentation on operational, system and user procedures & guidelines.
• Preparing proposals for technology solutions required.
Work as part of a proactive team of support staff responsible for delivering a high quality, customer-focused professional service there by providing the very highest level of technical support and customer service to internal staff.
• Maintenance & management of the Critical Windows based Server Environment.
• Maintaining up to date Antivirus levels on all machines company wide.
• Create and Strategize Social n Digital media awareness
• Keeping up to date with the developments of new technologies.
• Awareness of emerging markets, technologies and trends.
• Extensive knowledge of the company’s products an also of the wider IT marketplace.
