As manager, I specialize in providing assurance services (including internal audit and
advisory services) to various financial institutions and multinationals in Bahrain. My
experience also includes managing several “Reporting Accountant” engagements for the
Central Bank of Bahrain (which include review of the risk profile of the Bank and the
assessment of the key control functions such as risk management, compliance, internal
audit and shariah) for various leading financial institutions in Bahrain.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Proactively managing a portfolio of clients in excess of one million dollars while
reporting directly to the partners;
· Involved in the financial management of the firm;
· Actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research
opportunities on new/existing clients;
· Contributing to the development of my team's technical acumen;
· Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges;
· Collaborating/liaising with various other lines of service and specialists such as
Tax, and Valuation Experts (including Derivatives and Actuaries).
· C-suites meetings, including presentation to Board of Directors/Audit
Committees; and
· Train, coach, and supervise staff (including facilitating various trainings to offices
in the Middle East and Cyprus).
As a Senior Associate, I have experience in working in teams of varying size and have worked across a range of different sectors in a variety of interesting and challenging work. Client industries include but not limited to insurance, banking and capital markets, asset management, telecom and logistics and freight forwarders.
My responsibilities include: - Providing audit and business advice to a variety of clients; - Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients; - Leading teams, liaising with both client and other specialist staff in the practice such as actuarial and valuation experts to provide high quality client services; - Providing an on-site coordination role for audit clients including the coaching and training of junior staff; - Supervising teams and reporting directly to Senior managers, Partners and clients; - Managing portfolios, engagement budgets, WIP and billing; and - Working to win new business in the local marketplace and taking responsibility for developing my own personal network both internally and externally.
