• Translate a wide variety of texts (agreements, contracts, MOA, POA, promotional material, product information, professional/ corporate communications, sales presentations, training materials, etc.) pertaining to the following categories: legal documents, official papers, medical care & reports, financial and consulting files.
• Review translations done by other translators and freelancers
• Assume responsibility for proofreading and approving Arabic/English material for printing and publishing
• Manage projects and priorities, negotiate deadlines, build and maintain ongoing relationships with internal customers and external partners.
• Contribute to creating and enriching an in-house terminology database
• Contribute to developing and coaching other translators in a less senior role in addition to new comers.

• reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
• using Translation Memory software - such as SDL Trados, to ensure consistency of translation within documents and aid efficiency
• using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used;
• Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
• liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points
• proofreading and editing final translated versions
• providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document
• prioritizing work to meet deadlines
• providing quotations for translation services offered
• plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• develop schemes of work and lesson plans
• establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• prepare classroom for class activities
