Responabilities:
• Preparing Material Submittals and getting them approved
• Verify designs, study technical specifications (QCS, BS, ASTM, NFPA) and float inquiries for Long Lead Items indicated under Construction Planning
• Liaison with Contracts department for Tender Documents (BOQ) to fulfil Client’s Requirements
• Define the material or services to be purchased for engineering tasks within allocated resource budget in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Ensure the operation people on the site received all useful data in form of reports, manual and drawings.
• Sending inquiry to vendors and getting quotations, prepare schedule of comparison and awarding the contract
• Ensure purchase orders being placed are meeting site requirements and specifications
• Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
• Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of final product
• Managing documentation through Aconex
Project: Lusail Tunnel
• Functionality testing, wiring analysis and fault finding of sump pumps and MCC panels
• Producing Material Approval Requests for all disciplines (MEP) and having them approved
• Testing and calibrating Motorized Smoked and Fire Dampers (MSFD) actuators and blades
• Conducting TVS testing RFI for designated zone and its associated fan rooms with sub-contractor along with Halcrow Consultants
• Responsible for the approval of utility tunnel integration testing, which included, testing of heat sensors, fan operating in different modes through SCADA and smoke evacuation testing also known as purge mode
• Emergency lighting and normal lighting interface testing
• Configuration and programming of emergency lighting system
• Coordinating and QA and QC and comply with EHS regulations
• Liaison with Clients, consultants and Subcontractors
